Has anyone seen the flat black look on a Marauder or considered it?

Considered it, yes. Actually gone through with it, don't think so.

You ever try to clean a flat color? Bad idea for many reasons other than being just the primer that your main coats are going to stick to.

No. One flat black car is enough for me.

I think this idea was brought up here before, about the new flat look by, maybe Dupont, it was on a Mustang, a few said yes, many said no, I like it but not on the MM, too big.

I considered it as well and I think the only reason I haven't done it is the price of a good repaint.

flat black is typicaly done on hoods, or fenders to highlight a particular model (yenko, charger, etc) not an entire car.

Im soooo burned out seeing hotrods in flat black. Looks like primer to me, always has. I appreciate the art of a nice paintjob and really like those kustom colors on some hotrods.

Do it and let us know how it comes out! And post pics. I like the "murdered out" look.

My roof is flat black...as in primer, because the p.o.'s paint-job didn't stay on it. I sooooo miss the gloss.

I recall a thread where there was a link to another site where some had a Hot Rod Flatz black Panther but I couldn't find it...

I sure wouldn't mind seeing a gloss and satin finish similar to the 2003 "Black Bandit" Green Light Diecast toy version.

Flat black is a no no. The car has too many smooth corners for flat black. Save the flat black for 81 Malibu's.

I think that looks good! The exhaust is a little ridiculous, but I like the flat black on these vehicles!

dont like the front corner lights being painted over . Car is too new to paint it like that, paint was probably perfect when you did this? Like the mercury center caps you got on rims.

It looks okay when fresh, but it fades/collects dirt very quickly and easily then looks crappy.
