Hey, I just got a 03 Marauder black with 63,000km. Old fella gave me a steal of a deal on it.
I was wondering where to start with performance upgrades? Exhaust of choice? Headers? I put a K&N Air Intake in last week just wondering where to go from here?
Any suggestions?

Welcome to the site!
How fast do you want to go, and how much are you willing to spend to get there? Most people start with 4.10s, a tune, and (as you have done) a cold-air intake...but that's just the tip of the iceberg.

welcome to the site bud! you may want to look into some of the suspension upgrades if your interested in better handling (addco sway bars, rear control arms) plenty to consider.

Get a tune from DR or Lidio, vendors here. Then think about what you want to do with it.

Welcome to the site!
Plenty of mods to do, all depends on the size of your bankroll.

Welcome to the MM world and the site! Where are you located in BC? If you are in the lower mainland area, there are about 6 members close to you with stock and modified cars, and we would all be more than willing to show you what we are running.
Cheers!

That's pretty dangerous, 2DMax...one ride in a Trilogy Marauder and he'll get the supercharger bug. From then on, all his money will slowly trickle into a sock under the bed to save for the kit.
We do have a good example of MMs at various stages. Stock, bolt-ons, supercharged and SUPER-DUPER supercharged.
And another local for the MM calendar!:D

Welcome to the club, BCMARAUDING.
Low-buck options: 4.10s/tune/UDPs
High-buck options: A Trilogy Eaton blower or a Reinhart Vortech.

Boost is the way to go if you are looking for a lot of power quickly, but as has been said it can be pricey. I'm running an 03 with Headers, 4.10, CAI and a tune and absolutely love it. But nothing beats the whistle of a blower. Welcome to the site

Welcome to the site!
Depending on how fast you want to go, if Run and Gun is what you want I say supercharger (Trilogy, Cobra Eaton swap, Vortech, Procharger<---if it still exists), but Trilogy in my opinion is the way to go with a conservative tune to not blow your engine up. Of course with more speed you'll want to build a stronger engine, transmission, torque converter etc., and 3:73, 4:10 gears changes to move our heavy cars off the line quicker. Stainless Works Long Tube Headers or Kooks Headers, but I prefer Stainless Works.
For a little pep in your step... I suggest K&N Cold Air Intake (JLT Intake is also another option), 4:10 Gears, and an aggressive tweak in your tune! You can also do a rear catalytic delete, larger pipes and Headers if it's in the budget.
I don't know, just my opinion! If $$$ isn't a problem I say make her DEADLY, but whatever your poison is, have fun with it and please drive carefully.

If it's not black there isn't much you can do to make it go faster!:shake:

Welcome aboard! Nothing but good advice and positive attitudes to be had here. You made two good choices that I know of this year... 1: bought a Marauder 2: joined this site.

If you go the blower route(Trilogy or Eaton Swap), that is enough along with CAI unless you want to run in 11's. Gears & Exhaust are not necessary with Trilogy or Eaton for day to day use.
I wish I had left the 4.10's off, too much overkill.

I have an '04 Silver Birch. The mods I added were the cold air kit from K&N, the BAER brakes, the full Stainlessworks Exhaust (long tube headers, hi-flow cats, and a full cat back system). Awesome sound when I hit the gas and the passing gears kick in. Last, I added a performance tune.
This Memorial weekend, I'm running it at the SAAC-36 racing week-end at VIR. I want to see how the Marauder compares to my Mustangs on this road course..

Thanks for all the great reply's, now the only roadblock is my wife LOL From the sounds of it you have all found creative ways to keep the "Old Lady" distracted long enough to make your Marauders into beasts LOL

You guys talk about "full Stainlessworks Exhaust (long tube headers, hi-flow cats, and a full cat back system)" where's the best place in Canada and better yet BC to buy that system? Whats the average cost of that package? Whats a good deal installed?

I see the 8.8 will take a 3.90. Anyone try that yet? Might be a good ratio with a S/C
