Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone could supply me with the part numbers for the drivers side door hinges? I am detecting quite a bit of play on this door, and would like to tighten this up. Also does anybody have any issues with the door moulding on top of door, bottom of window, this seems to be bubbling up. I don't think we can buy this part anymore?

your door hinge can be repined, and bushings added any good body shop should be able to do this.

I don't think window moulding would be an issue.

CV and GM should interchange on our MM's??

Mike.

6W1Z.5422810.A Lists for $62.72. Comes in flat black.

BTW, I have only heard of hinge pin replacements for Fox body vehicles.

Is that the price for the set of just one piece?

Are the ones with the bright work still available?

Believe it or not, I replaced mine in 2006 due to the bubbling. Now they need it again. This should be the last time I need to do it, as my marauder is finished with winter service.

this is a common repair that can be done on any hinge simply by removing the pin and adding bushings to compensate for wear and tear:burnout:

This is for the lower door hinge only.

Very true, I've done many. If there is no listing, ANY bearing sales company will be able to find proper copper bushings to fit.

OK, so is the easiest way to replace the hinges:
1. get a set of junkers off of a CV in the junkyard
2. go to the bearing shop & get bushings
3. take junkers apart, paint, install bushings & assemble with old pins
4. remove originals & set aside
5 install redone junkers on door?

What's missing?

You can purchase hing pin and bushing kits at your FLAPS for many cars not sure if they lists kits for the late model Fords or not but the same hinges have been in use since 92 and are shared among many Ford models.

I only posted the price for the lower one. The upper one requires removal of the dash to replace.

Thanks for that, I don't think I'll be replacing the top one any time soon, to remove the dash is too big of a job for this backyard mechanic.

Now I can't say I've done it on an 03 but in the earlier cars it is possible to replace it w/o removing the dash, you just have to have the correct combo of extensions and u-joints.

Send computertech a PM, he replaced the door hinges and the door molding on his SB.

Hey Brian, do you have a part number for those window moldings?
I need one of them for each of the rear doors
