I think I'm having a little moisture intrusion in my trunk again!!:mad2:
This happened a few years back and I found the rear window must not have been sealed properly?? Back then I lifted the rubber trim down the side of the rear window and squirted silicon in and it stopped it!!!
A glass replacement guy said the silicone wouldn't last and he may have been right so I need to either remove the rubber trim or the piece in the attached photo.....if it will come off??
Anyone know if the trim piece will come off or how to R&R the rear window rubber trim??
Tnx!!

the black trim seal is removable, and is pressed in after the silicone bead to seal the glass is applied.
not sure about the painted trim

You talking about moisture on the inside of the trunk lid? Or is it getting your trunk carpet wet?

I know, I know, not the same car, but on the '96 that piece is removable, but the water leaked into the interior.

Don't think that is removable.
Find a good glass shop.

It is accessible from inside when you remove the "C" pillar shield that the seat belt comes through. Keep us posted on any progress.

Remove the rear seat bottom
Remove the rear seat back
Remove the door opening moulding just the rear part
Remove the "C" pillar trim. I believe there are one or two clips that hold it in.

It is clipped on. Just be careful not to break them when removing the piece.

Opened my trunk this morning and carpet was soaked in there. How's the water normally leak into the trunk?

Have someone run a hose over the back widow and trunk while your locked in the trunk with a flashlight. You'll find the leak.

That sounds like a plan. If you are worried about locking yourself in the trunk, there is a glow in the dark release handle that is hooked onto the latch.
