Two questions folks

1. Seat Heaters: How warm are they really supposed to get? I find them warmish, but barely adequate. It is completely unlike my 04 Sierra where, when it is in the hot setting, it is HOT. Is this normal for the Marauder to have just barely adequate warm seats?

2. The car does overheat. Car temp is rock solid. But, the heater control ... I need to turn the interior temp up to 75/76 to get warm air coming out of the vents. It is a mild 36-38 when I leave my house, so warm air in the car is a nice to have. Is there a interior temperature probe that could be bad, blocked, not functional well enough for my needs; that, I could replace. 75/76 just seems awful high to have to set the interior temp to.

Thanks!
Anthony

Mine gets pretty toasty, I usually have to turn mine off manually cause my buns are a nice golden crisp after a good while.

your seat warmers should run you out of the seat on low, or high! mines do

as for your heat problems you have issues ,clearly you shouldnt have problems w/over heating, check your stat, coolant level, burp the system (its free)

My seat heaters work well, have to trun them off after about 20 minutes.

If you overheating then the temperature gauge would show it.

I leave the automatic temperature control set at 72, I don't think I've changed the temperature in 2 years. It comes on when the engine warms up enough and the blower motor speed adjusts accordingly............. it's AUTOMATIC.

There is an internal temperature sensor. It's located just to the right of the EATC. The sensor might be covered with dust, just use some canned air and blow it in the opening.

I should have also stated that I burped the system already. Lifted the front end and bled it out. I will try to clean the sensor.

As for the seats, ... What would cause them not to be so toasty ...

My seats in my 04 were very weak. The passengers side wouldn't even work on high.

I now have aftermarket heated seats in my 03 and they take a dump on the OEM's I had.

hmmm your heating elements may be getting ready to retire!:mad2:, as for the overheating i would check the water pump, stat may be sticking, and heater core, its hard to say until you get into it.

My heated seats are very weak when it's fairly cold. Never noticed it until I used the ones in my wife's Land Rover. 60 seconds on high and they're scorching!

My aftermarket heated seats take about ten minutes to get the buns toasty, then have to be turned off. The temp here is usually in the twenties right now.

The OEM heaters crap out often, many posts here on this. My drivers heater is just about dead. Sat in the pass seat recently that one works great!!
