a/c and vent only blow hot air

my a/c and vent blow the same temperature no matter what i set it on it seems to be stuck on 90 degrees or something. Its 60 degrees outside and i set the vent to 65 and it still blowing like its set on 90. any ideas?

Sounds like the dreaded "blend door" :eek: problem.

daaaang.. so this is a known and common problem? would it also explain the thumping noise behind my dash that randomly comes and goes? and how do i go about fixing this problem?
