Very nice! I dunno what I was expecting,...maybe something a little more home-made looking, which that is definately not.

The filter size is about the same as the JLT, with the stock tube on this you can feel the power gain when driving it.

We are working on 1 for the GM and the crown vic

I cannot remember what was used on the 'snorkel delete'?
However, I believe MERCMAN had that setup until he went with a CAI.

Awesome use of those ugly left over bolts when u use any other CAI. Great work. If I care about my marauder, I would look into doing this myself.

Some have used jar lids and other stuff.
I cut off the closed end of the Helmholtz Resonator and used that to plug the hole, finished side out.
Then I went with a JLT.

PM ImpalaSlayer to see if he still has the plug I used on my car for the snorkel delete.
Alternatively, PM james79stang. IIRC, he used an inverted breather cap to replace the snorkel, and it looked pretty cool. He can give you size and/or car model it came from.

I used a medium size lid from a jar of Jiffy PB, painted it black and jammed it on.
I have to admit, the more I look at your car the more it's growing on me.

I used a pvc cap. I sanded the writing off of it and sprayed it black.

You know the deal, pic or it didn't happen.
For the record, you know I have seen it. Just putting it out there that, it is a remarkable piece of mickey mouse engineering;)

What a great looking cold air setup. Might I encourage you to make some available to club members? A professional engineer and fabricator could do a lot worse.

Will you make any for a fee? Well actually you would probably have to be around mine because of the Procharger, but I bet people would paypal you in a second for one.

Very nice looking heat sheild!....:bows:
BTW: I cut an appropriately sized plug out of thick black plastic and put it in the snorkle's former location,
then re-used the OEM clamp to hold it.

As far as I know, that 'noise attenuation' snorkle was on all OEM Maruder's inlet tubes.
Did you buy your 2004 new or previously owned?

Funny thing is....in 40 years that OEM snorkle will probably be worth $500!
Remember all those BOSS 302 rev limiters that got pitched in the garbage as a first 'mod'??
