It was time for new fronts on my Marauders' stablemate , they were done by Woodstock Ford Mercury in 2005 and around 60K miles .
They used the Motorcraft rotors and severe duty pads.
The car has almost 119k now and the rotors pretty tired, the pads had a couple mm's to the middle indent of the friction material , worn evenly.
I found a deal on Rockauto for Brembo stock size rotors and Raybestos premium line pads delivered for just under a hundo.
I did the brakes myself this time and flushed the entire system afterwards.
I took instruction from my pal Ramone @ One Special Car in Fox Lake, carefully cleaning and lubricating those critical parts.
The LSE was also treated to new powdercoated lacy spoke rims and new Cooper CS4's, also stock size.
On the test drive, I don't ever recall this car feeling so good to drive as it does now.
The biggest test will be when I drive it in the rain, it has always had a pulling rt symptom in the rain, only if you have not used the brakes for several minutes.
Best hundred bucks, .. m,..? OK a , a Little more :P
