jay,

FWIW, doing the mod on the crossover tube is a real PITA. Do yourself a favor, either buy a donor COT, or if your car is going to be down for a while for the Eaton swap, pull your COT and send to ImpalaSlayer to get the mod done. He's got a source that will do the mod for a reasonable price, with excellent worksmanship, and more important, NO leaks under pressure.

I thought you were buying up the world's supply of used 4.6L DOHC COTs to mod for future Eaton swaps; is this no longer the case?

Whats the charge on the COT mod? When I do mine it'll be a hail mary weekend project since the car is my daily and my bread winner so to speak.

IIRC, it's around $100.

Fairly thin wall tubing, the PITA is leaking undre pressure.

IMO, you're better off finding a donor unit.

You're gonna do a complete Eaton swap in a weekend? I take it you're planning on having all your fabbed parts made and fitted ahead of time.

im sure it could be done but you will hate your self lol. unless you have a healthy stock of rubber tubing, vaccume line, bolts, electrical teminals, heat shrink, wire loom, wire, hose clamps, nuts, screws, brass fittings, busing stock, rtv, sure im forgetting a bunch of other supplys but you will be making alot of trips to napa lol

Weekend is nothing for me. I did our 03' Engine/Trans/IRS swap into our 01' in 4 days. Car drove in and drove out. I have extra all that you've mentioned in the garage. I frequently do projects for others as well. I've been wrenching for about 12 years now.

I just need to make sure I have any of the "standard" modified parts already done and ready to go. Prep is key!

I picked up a 03/04 Cobra crossover for $70. Going to use that and the stock marauder one to make mine.
