He's open to offers, and in the ATL area he's seen cars with similar miles bring $20g.

Not to burst your/his bubble but 20K is outrageous.

This is very true..... The price may seem high to some, but evaluating the asking price for a vehicle especially one somewhat collectable requires more information than just the asking price and condition of the car.

Impala SS's are very popular in our part of the country, and therefor can command more $ than in other parts of the country. If someone wants to ask the moon for their vehicle, I see no reason why we on this board all chime in with our opinions on price..... Especially since most who do are not even in the market for the car........

To me its kind of like a hand of poker..... You don't talk about what you folded/had until the hand is over for all the other players at the table..... If at all. Do it during the hand, and it may effect a remaining players hand.... Since you are out, why would you do this??? Anyways jmho....

I personally hope he gets his asking price. If he does, it bodes well for collector/near collector cars here in Atlanta.

They do it because they themselves cannot afford it. It makes them feel better about themselves insulting someone. The bottom line..... most don't have 2 nickles to rub together, hence the insults and putting down someone else's sale ad.

IIRC, $23 is about what they sold for new, isn't it? We bought a new 94 Explorer at about the same time the Impala came out. I tried to talk my wife into it, but no go. A couple of years later, we bought a 96 Explorer. The dealer then had a 95 Cobra convertible with the hardtop option - one of 499, I believe - but, again, no luck!! She's eased up quite a bit over the years.

And I am sure with a little patience, he will find a buyer at that price, or close to it. If it was a more reasonable price, I would have been interested in it, but I need to get my debt down and drive the marauder until it blows!

News flash, your Marauder already blows!

Good luck with the Impala sale. I like the 60-67's, but the one he is selling is nice, I'd drive it.

According to NADA that car is worth $11225 in the 30301 Zip code while a 2003 Marauder with the same mileage is worth $13,400.

I hate to think what they're gonna say when the MM hits the 15 year mark.

Please ask your brother to bring the car to our next Southern Marauder Breakfast. We meet every thrid Saturday of the month at the Cracker Barrell Delk rd and I75 in Marietta at 8am.

He would be most welcomed and we would love to see the car.

I like em both. I wanted a 90's imp b4 the MM. If I had the kind of cheddar to throw away for some old muscle I'd buy it. Maybe not for 20 tho.
