I see we've hit 400 members! Nice job Logan[and all]. By the way, anybody hear any sales figures for our car. My insurance carrier[AIG], claims less than 3,000 sold:confused:

In my area of Eastern NC I am the sole owner. I have not seen any for a 50 mile radius. Sad..........

I road run in two of the three Delaware counties, with trips to Philly, Cherry Hill NJ, and the Baltimore/DC area. I have yet to see another Marauder on the rodd or in any parking lot for that matter. These people just don't know what they are missing. Of course, L-M really don't know how to promote the car either. It was the same way back in the mid 80's or so when they had the Merkur for sale.

Here in NYC/Westchester, I have not seen another one on the road

Ive had my MM since 6/17 and only have seen three others and each time I was in our old 93 CVLX.Seems like when you see a MM you won't see it for long. But, like SGTMac I do enjoy the attenion and the car.

I live in a small community but a military community and I'm the only one in this area with a Marauder. Some folks ask me what is it, others ask me where I bought it, others think I customized a cop car until I tell them it's all factory and I bought it off the lot as is. I agree with Murader03 about Lincoln/Mercury not knowing how to promote this vehicle in advertisements.

I wouldn't be upset as to even see them discontinue it after a year or so. Like Sergnt, I'm in no hurry to see these things like I see regular CV's everyday...

LML,
I would hate to see them discon the MM even more than them becoming common. I would really like to see them as a smallish production, but remain a going concern. It might not be the kind of car they will find a mass-appeal for, but I firmly believe they can sell all that are produced.
I would like to see more on the road, as it is I have only ever passed 1 since I can remember, and that accounts for the past 4 months.

Total MM pass count = 0
Total SS pass count = 1-2 everyday

I hope they don't discontinue it any time soon. We gotta have more than just 03's and 04's on the road! But I don't see this car being in any kind of lenghty production, but who knows... I just always try to get cars that I KNOW will be worth something someday that no one will say, "Oh yah, a MM, I had one of those..." Ya know what I mean?

Just adding my two cents to this--I've seen a total of two Marauders on the road here in the DFW area.

One on Plano Parkway right in front of the L-M dealer, and another southbound on 121 headed to the airport.

That same L-M dealer told me the cars are selling well, even after I pointed out they have 10 listed in-stock. :)

David, have I met you? If not, come visit us at one of our local club meetings... Club members get ford parts at cost + 10% and labor at severely reduced rates.

I'm the third sale the K/M dealer has sold an MM to since July---they only have five and the first two were sold over the net by their net salesmanager...so guess am the first "walk-in" to buy one..seemed so the way they gave me so much attention while there--but doesn't explain why I haven't heard anything as yet (11-25-02) on getting that jacket !!!!

The L/M dealer on Cape Cod said I was the third to buy one and that was early August. I know one other couple on the Cape bought one since then so we have at least 4 MMs on the Cape with a population of about 225,000.

I saw one at a cruise in September, and passed one on the road about 2 weeks ago. Other then that, nada.

i'm in the San Antonio, TX. area.I've never seen another on the road.
The dealer got them in in late June,I got mine in Sep.
I have no idea how many they have sold but when I got mine they had 17!

This past weekend I drove to Dallas and didn't see any on the way either.
Far as I can tell I've got the only Marauder sold that stayed in S.TX.
