I plotted the general route we're most likely going to take. Depending on weather, traffic, sight-seeing, etc, the exact route might be different.

I should be leaving this Saturday (5th) and completing the trip in 6-7 days. So, if you're along this route and would want to meet up, definitely let me know. I always enjoy meeting fellow clubbers, especially since there aren't that many of us!

Cheers

Have a safe trip. I have a good friend in Elk Grove, and a few more in that area. I about ~70 miles away.

I thought you were heading to Southern California.

My final destination is San Diego, but Elk Grove is my home town, so I'll be spending a few weeks there.

Make sure you stop at Bonneville (Salt Flats, Utah) on the way. You can ride down to where the races are held, and have lunch at the little diner there where some of the fastest drivers have eaten. I can't recall the name, but it's right off the exit. Definately a cool place.

That sounds awesome! Thanks for the heads up, I'll definitely look into it.

Too bad you don't have more time, take the US highways instead of the interstates. I did it that way and it was awesome. Took me and the spouse about 3 to 4 weeks with stops.

That's sounds awesome! I'd love to make a REAL roadtrip like that one, not some 12-14 hour one day drive. How long ago was it?

Last April my wife, 3 boys (age 12 months, 2 yr and 3 yr) took a road trip to Houston. Took us 12-13 days to get there. Stayed about a week and then took 12-13 days to come back. Spent some time on i10 and I5, other than that, mostly 2 lane highways.

AWESOME trip and can't wait to do it again
