I tryed to post this in the MV9 forum but I assume that's restricted access.
Although it may have escaped the organizers of this wonderful event, some of our members have something important to celebrate this week.
13 October is the U.S. Navy's birthday. We usually celebrate with a traditional formal ball. Many just chose to just raise a glass to our shipmates past and present. No need to detract from or adjust the itinerary at all, there's plenty of time for those Sailors and Landlubbers alike who would like to join us in a toast to the United States Navy. Since I will probably still be on watch until Friday evening or Saturday, If anyone would like to join me in that informal toast with a glass of grog, I'll suggest a place to meet on our scheduled off time. Just let me know if your interested and I'll arrange a place and time. It would of course be open to all regardless of service or civilian status, just a healthy respect for those who served.
