Well... I wanted a home theater like quality sound inside my cabin and id say its much louder now !!!!! BUT... I won't have that full affect I'm looking for until I get my 5-channel amp then top it off with one of pop's pioneer Avh-p3200bt units. As far as the kicker speakers I love them can't wait to hear what they'll sound like when its all set and done !

Update! Had a 4-channel amp installed to run through all my kicker speaker except my kicker subwoofer and just wowww is all I can say !!! It is like a live concert I love it !

I switched to Kicker myself a while back. Still have to get the amp for the door speakers but the quality is amazing.

I have two Orion 12's in the trunk, still running the OEM speakers though. Sounds decent enough to me, but I would like more in the future.

I thought we had 6x8's all around? Any issues installing 6x9's? I'm happy with the stock speakers, especially with the 2 12's in the back, but will be looking to upgrade and have been looking for really good 6x8's but would prefer 6x9's.

I have 6X9's in the rear deck, pretty easy install. I would be a little harder to find a good 6X9 that would have clearance in the front door due to the window. That was my reason to stick with 6X8 components up front. Just my .02

Yes it would be possible, the stock subwoofer hole takes up some real estate but if you changed the orientation of the second set of 6X9's you wouldn’t have an issue.

I don’t know why you would want to however, a single 10" or dual 8" woofers would seem to do the job better and the mids and highs in the back would be way overkill IMO.

I've had all 6X8 kickers for some time now. Definately a better sound! I still haven't hooked up my amp though out of sheer laziness. But with the Escape head unit, kickers, and a single 10 in a custom box (with amp screwed to the box) the car sounds AMAZING. Not competition worthy by no stretch, but WOW.

Curious how you fit 6x9s in the front doors? I had minor issues with Infinity 6x8s in the doors. Not to mention the opening resticts what is coming through in the 1st place. Or did you open it up somehow? I prefer the factory look. Keeps the light fingered people away.

A good quality 6x8 is the pioneer ts-d6802r. Its got a wide range of hertz. Sounds awesome. Highly recommended if anyone is looking for speakers.

I don't really know how he got the 6×9 in the door...it was a shade tree installation...but u could hear every word to a song clear as day from at least 30 feet away
