View Full Version : Southern MM Breakfast - South Side?

A few members have asked if we could meet for one of our mountly breakfast's on the south side of town.

I think this is a good idea.

There is a Cracker Barrel an exit or two just north or south of Summitt Racing. Would this be a good location?

My suggestion is to plan a Saturday breakfast on a day when their may be a car show/cruise in we could all attend.

What are your thoughts?

Here are a few suggestions in Atlanta:

Being a Northsider.....I'm not that familiar with the Southside (except for the choices on the different terminals at Hartsfield-Jackson:rolleyes:)

I would like that. It is hard for me to make it to the breakfast get togethers since I live in Cochran, GA. My wife would also like to bring her Mustang to one of these meets to show it off but we did not want to drive two cars all the way up north. How about if we get a email list together of the people that would like to go and send them the info when a meet is planned?

I know there is an IHOP at one of the McDonough exits, if there is not a Cracker Barrel in the vicinity. I propose we announce it this month and do it in March. This way it gives everyone here and not here:bigcry: time to plan. Just my .02......... Thanks David for reintroducing this discussion.:banana2:

It does not matter too much to us where we eat either. Crack head barrel is ok sometimes they have a breakfast special I like. Sorry we did not make it to the last breakfast meet. My Grandmother passed away in Indiana so we were there. I was pretty upset she was a wonderful Woman and I will miss her very much even though she was 108 years old.
We did pass through Atlanta Sunday morning about midnight does that count? So let me know when and where and we will try and make it this go around.

Hi Guys,

Being a Southsider for 16 years it would be nice to have something down on the Southside of Hotlanta. My bud Mike Miller always goes to the meetings and Tina and I would like to attend one on this side of town. Grant it Summit is about 35-40 miles from me but Marietta is about 55 so that will work.

Provide the date and if it will be Cracker Barrel or Golden Corral. Either would work and we can have a shopping day at Summit afterwards! Hey I have to get that $25 off coupon used and help the economy!

Count me in for the Cracker Barrel in McDonough. It is only 4 miles from me. People may want to stop off at Summit Racing after breakfast and see the absolutely SUPER racing parts store. If you have never seen it you need to seriously stop by after breakfast.

I see I'm still #21 on the Time Slips and all the young hot shots are bailing out of their MMs. I guess the keyboard racing finally got to them when they couldn't make their MMs run. Hot air doesn't get you down the track - only hard work and some smarts.

See you on March 19 at 8:00 am.

Ok here is the timeline....... ETA to McDonough 8:00am
@7:00am SHARP (Don't be late or Todd & Bill will leave your azz:P)
Todd, Bill and any other folks on the north - west side of town (Chris?, Mike?, David?, George?, Larry?, Jay?, Claudio?, Abdul?)

Meet at the OK Cafe (This is a 24hr rest off of Rte 75 at the West Paces Ferry exit, inside Rte 285).
For all you GPS types :)-- 1284 West Paces Ferry Road Northwest
Atlanta, GA 30327-2306

7:25-7:35am 2nd meet point
One exit South of Rte 285 (South of Hartsfield Intl.) There is the Forrest Pkwy Exit. Get off there, Go over 75 to Northbound side...... Gas Station on the right is the spot. See google maps below.

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&rlz=1T4ADFA_enUS372US373&wrapid=tlif130038035071410&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=henry+county&fb=1&gl=us&hq=henry+county&hnear=Lawrenceville,+GA&ei=wzqCTer_L6iO0QHSz-ThCA&sa=X&oi=local_group&ct=image&resnum=4&ved=0CAsQtgMwAw

There is way to get to Forrest Pkwy without getting on 75, if you are coming from 285 east or west (its an access road that drops you a lil west of the exit off 75 is all. Your choice, just look at the map here and you will see what I'm talking about).

Post up if you are going to join at either of these two locations, but be considerate to the others and show up early or on time at the very least:o.

People coming from I-75 & 285 can go I-75 south inside the perimeter, get off at the Cumberland Blvd exit. (Can get off at Northside too {1 more exit down that brings you to Cobb Pkwy that turns into Northside}, but it might also be closed if West Paces is...)
*Go right off the exit.
*Take a left onto Cobb Pkwy(Its less than 600 yds)
*Cobb Pkwy turns into Northside and drains eventually(after going under I-75) into the intersection where the OK Cafe is located (on the left diagonally across the intersection).

A great idea came to me looking at your pics-- Whenever I post pics again of something similiar, (its been awhile I know) I will place names of those in the pics with what they are wearing so others can put faces to names--something we all love to do---and say Hi to TAF for me--

Once again --nice pics and great showing--!!!!
