What does the Level 2 Transmission Kit do for the transmission? Is this a J-mod with extras or clutches, gears etc. I'm looking to strengthen up my transmission for a supercharger. Do I need a triple disk torque converter or single?

It is a complete soft kit no hard parts and it comes with the Jmod instructions Kevlar overdive ban and all alto clutches and the forced lube kit.

So is this something that has to be done at a transmission shop or I can do this with no special tools or rebuilding required? I other words do I need to drop the transmission from the car?

Yes to rebuild the transmission it must come out, I would find a Ford Mech to do this on the side for you.

Can't believe I still don't have this done. Dennis, I'll be giving you a call soon.

This kit will turn your car into a whole new animal.

I bought my MM with this kit (from Dennis) already installed. The shifts are instantaneous and 1-2 ALWAYS produces wheelspin unless I "flutter" the gas pedal earlier to force a soft shift. Dropping to 1st for some quick power ALWAYS puts a grin on my face.

I recently talked to Dennis about getting my tune updated to try and soften the shifting a bit, as I use my MM as a daily driver and never go to the track.

For the money the kit is a GREAT upgrade. The downside is the labor involved in getting it installed. Dennis, I can take a picture of the parts I have left over if you wanted to use it to update your website (there currently is no picture up).

I wouldn't spend the money until your trans goes out.

+1 on what blackbeauty said. I have 14,000 miles on my car and pretty much have everything done to it except tranny work and splines. When the tranny goes, then I would do an overhaul on it along with splines and maybe gears if you prefer. although the forced lube kit and jmod would accommodate a firmer shift and force lube would help keep an upgraded driveshaft healthy.

You'll be rebuilding the tranny anyway to install the kit, so yes, you'll probably address this issue at the same time.

Someone chime in if I'm off, but it could be a solenoid problem.

Unless you're planning on some major HP or plan on thrashing the car really hard, "strengthening" the transmissions isn't mandatory if you go S/C. There are a lot of us still running stock trans with S/C'd engines.

Also, what type of blower do you intend to go with? If centri, you'll prolly want to go to a higher stall speed. If roots-type, stock stall speed converter will work okay.

I will be going with a centri blower. But I also wanted to beef up the trans because I plan on going with a combo that produce 600rwhp. So I'm just getting things together and info so I know what to buy.

600 hp? Yeah, prolly not a bad idea, then. ;)
