What do you consider a fair price?

Good Morning Larry,
Thank you for writing. I think that would depend on a lot of variables.
Condition, Equipment, Milage, that sort of thing.
If the car was like the one Carfixer sold last week end. Than his expectations
of around $18K seemed reasonalbe.
We both know that the roads in the NE are salted from Nov to March, so if the car is a DD then that presents some issues.
If you have one for sale could you send me some photos and a mechanical
history on your Vehicle, how the car was used. That sort of thing.
Larry, thank you very much for writing, I look forward to your reply.
Best regards
Russell

Admitting to faults (liking DTR's) is the first step to recovery. Kudos to you!

J/K I am a secret admirer myself :) Good luck in the search.

Well Bob,
I guess that says it all.......
Definately not in Chicago but still getting blown
A good seat is more cushion for pushing.

What do you consider "fairly stock"?

I'm speculating that it does not include DTR's with 500 hp.:P

Good Afternoon Sir,
What I would consider "fairly stock" is a car that has maybe some suspension
mods, like links swaybar etc. If you ever saw the car "Carfixer" was selling
last weekend that is what I am looking for.
I had problems with posting to the forum, other wise I would have contacted
him. That car was beautiful. Very will done. That is what I am looking for.
I have a file of photos of his work. But I really don't know the particulars.
I need to know more and find a car like that one.
Thanks for writing.
Best to you and your family.

Bradley,
That would depend on if the car was streetable and could pass inspection.
If you have information on a car like that LMK.
Thanks

That's not fair, I only have 250 RWHP.................. per wheel. :burnout:

Russell,

He was referring to my DTR, it is streetable, and will pass any inspection. The money I would need for it is not realistic, plus, I really like killing hemi's, Vette's, Camaro's, BMW's etc.. :burnout:

If you look at my posts in the for sale section, I did post up pictures there a while back.

Since then I have changed the hood to a Class Glass hood, added a few other items here and there.

I will look for your photos, how far back are they?
And yes I love killing those other cars with either my Impala SS, AMX or
My STS V all are fast.
I have the need for speed.
I would have bought a CTS V except it is too tight in the cabin and the plastic turns me off.
But the LSA engine is very fast in stock form and with all the mods for Chevy engines it's even faster.
The Northstar engine is a dead platform.
Still 468 Brake HP stock and with a little mods to the blower and intake you can make over 500 RWHP. Love all my cars. That is why I would like to get hold of a DTR for some more fun. PM for email address

I looked and found a gray or silver one for sale.
I could have live with that, particularly with the
miles on it. Nice car.
I still would like to see your DTR, any chance of that.
Tell me about it. How are you making 500 HP with
it?

I have changed a few things since then, the hood for one, pulley on the blower, now at 14 psi, AFR gauge, trans temp gauge, triple gauge pod on drivers side "A" pillar.

As always, anything I have is for sale, this car is destined to get a stroker motor in the very near future, and a few other go fast parts.

As far as newer pics, I would have to go pull it out of storage, it currently has a touch over 20k on the clock.

Thanks for the memories.
You really didn't want to sell that car did you?
If I would have been in the market for a MM at the time I bought my STSV, I would have
givin it a hard look. But such is history. I like the V It is blown and fast. And it is a beauty as well, just like your DTR. When the spring comes, perhaps a few more updated photos would be in order. Thanks again for the look I will book mark your pages.

Not really wanting to sell, that has to be the understatement of the year. I would though, for the right amount of $$$$. Honesstly, I have never had a car that lured them in like this does. No real clue why, I guess that they figure by smoking a 4 door, it will impress their girlfriends, too bad it has never worked out that way.:D

If you couple all the above with the fact that MM's are so far and few between, it makes it just that much more fun. I'm thinking about getting a magnetic "taxi" sign for the roof...... being a 4 door and all......

This is my absolute favorite kills! Back before my most awesome tune, "the slow days" LOL, when we could brag around here:shake: I will NEVER EVER EVER! Forget the look on this guys girlfriend/wifes face NEVER! It was the look of "Oh my god, you actually think you have a chance???" The second his doors lined up with mine and I put the skinny pedal down, the blower SCREAAAAAMMMMMED, the tires went up in complete smoke in miliseconds, and the Flowmasters crackled something nasty, almost WAR like into her window, the look of shear embarrassment and fear on her face as I glanced over with my sarcastic smile... I LOVE when they start it (most allways) with a girlfriend!

After all these Kill stories, (SRT8, M5, AMG, G8,) I should be scared, but we shall see.
Run what you got. I like head up racing. Pinks is fun. Look at this Video. talk about a
sleeper. I still love the DTR MM as a new toy, Can't wait.

Hi Russell
I'm not sure of selling yet, but I've been toying with the idea for a few months now. Heres a few details on the car. Never been a DD ( used on a few vacations and sales calls), garaged year round and stored winters, never seen snow, rained on twice, 42k miles all stock. The only mods are cosmetic, PBF coil covers, MM trunk lid liner and a K&N drop in. The exterior and interior are a 10. BFG's only have 5k front and 8k rear.
I also have all paper work, brochure, window sticker, DVD, MM decal, FPG certificate, and XL leather jacket in bag ( worn once).
For the last few years it has been used as my golf car and an ocasional weekend cruise.
Like Carfixer this is the first new car I have ever bought so this is why my mind is so indecisive.
