Magnaflow Mufflers?!

Well, after lots of research on the Flowmaster and Magnaflow websites as well as watching everything i could find on You Tube with Marauder and Mach 1 muffler sounds, i think i'm going with the Magnaflows. I love the deep throaty gurgle of the factory set-up it just needs to be a bit louder. I want to be able to hear the rumble but not to the point where i can't have a conversation with someone.

Thoughts? If anyone has a sound clip of a stock Marauder with Magnaflow mufflers, i would appreciate it you would post it.

Not sure which length of Magnaflow to go with or if the muffler needs an inlet or exit offset. Local header and muffler shop suggested the short 18" body for a louder sound. :banana2:

i don't have a clip, but I do have Magnaflows and they are awesome. If you want a little more noise, but still conversation, as well as a little more speed, I recommend Headers. The combination is awesome. I love the way my Beast sounds :D

PLUS 1 on what PonyUp said. I have the magnaflows with Headers. My first mod was just magnaflows and it was perfect for what you are looking for. Here is mine after I added a s/c and headers but it may give you some idea. You'll have to pardon the messy inside of the car.:o Kids!:D This video was from just over a year ago. I'll try to redo tomorrow and give a better qaulity sound with some sitting and taking off.

cwright - nice car! Your setup is very similar to mine, I just don't have the kooks headers. I would love to hear what your car sounds like revving and take-off/high throttle/WOT - whatever you got. I still have stock mufflers on mine and want to upgrade. I'm thinking I like the magnaflows best.

I was :o to post this video up only due to the messy interior. We were down to 2 cars for a few days and I had to drive the Marauder. Kim won't drive it due to if something happened to it while it was in her care...... I understand!:D:D Anyway, it all cleaned up great. :beer:

My kids loved it from day one! My wife loved it after we went to MV8. She still doesn't want to drive it though. She's mad she can't go to Louisville due to work.

I have magnaflows on three of my Mustangs. One is a stock 5.0, one a 331 Supercvharged Stroker, and the other a 347 Superchwerged sstroker. All three sound great, especially at 2000 RPM. My 2004 Silver birch Marauder has the entire Stainlessworks system, from Long Tubes, to Hi-Flo Cats, thorugh to the polished ends. All I can say is WOW! Hit the gas pedal, and watch the heads follow your car down the road.

If you like the sound of Magnaflow but want a little louder but not as loud as Aeros check out Jones Full Boar. They're like Magnaflow mufflers but outflow them.

What is the part number for the MagnaFlows? Still need to do the exhaust on my DPB. Was going to go with Flows, nice sound and all, but not quite right audibly to me.

Hotwheels, I to have Magnaflow on mine. Flowmasters are nice, but everyone runs them and you start to sound generic. Magnaflow has a deep throaty sound that your looking for, which is what I got with mine. Still needing the headers and a set of high flow cats, but if you have an intake on it, it helps that much more.

thanks for all the feedback. I went with the Magnaflows. I must like the sound because i find myself making more excuses then every to go for a drive in the Marauder.
