They are bright but will not shine as far as HID or even as far as halogen bulbs.

HIDs are your best bet.

I mounted 3watt LEDs in my foglights. Looks good but can see too far.

8000K is probably why. The higher the number the more color wash there is and less output. 5000K is about as clear white color as you can get with the best output. 4300K is factory HID color. 35watt is all you need, 55w is overkill for headlights and def not good in the fogs.

What about the silverstars fogs compared to stock???

Silverstars are OK, HIDs are better.

I am very happy with their performance, I'm considering the idea of putting a bigger foglight and modifying the bumper cover. Something like the 03-04 cobra ones, and wouldn't mind trying something new. I might just do 55 watt on just the foglights.

I ordered them and they don't fit. Save your money.

They look like they are too long.

I know HID's are brighter but I don't want to go that route.

Just looking for a simple plug n play with no modifications.

They look like they are too long.

That's exactly it, they are about an inch too long. I put them inside of a revolving roof light and they didn't seem any brighter then regular bulbs.

Remove the defuser in the foglight housing.

Silverstars H1 bulbs last about 100 hrs on average.

It's really not that hard, Nate or I can do it. No reason to go back to stock after doing the HID fogs. I finally ordered my new oem fog lights so I'll be finishing up mine in the next week or so.

Won't fit. I know the fog lamps won't fit but with a little modification it should.

It's too long for the fog light housing. You would not be able to retain the stock locking collar and get a proper seal. The 35watts give off plenty of light, 55watt is overkill for such a small halogen styled housing.

So was I. lol The fog light housing is not long enough to hold the 55w bulb properly. You might be able to find some projector style fog lamps that might be able to properly hold the bulb.

You will have hot spots form in the fog lamp if you stick the 55w bulb in there.
