I had seen that some members have used mustang 4v LT headers on their Marauders. Since the GM has a column shifter, will the rod coming down from the column to the trans linkage be in the way of the headers? Pace setters has LT headers with 1 5/8 primaries, 3" collectors and ceramic coated for $419. I asked on CV.net and got no replies.

Honestly, the steering colum shifter rod is not much to worry about. One of the main things that can be on your way is the steering shaft it self. Also it may be less of a headache to try shortys. The LT's might not clear the on the passanger side either.

Why not invest the money and try it, you may be one of the first. If you dont want to risk the investment then Mustang shorty's will work but you will need a 99~04 Mustang downpipe to go with it. This will work for sure because I have personally helped a few Vic guy's with this mod. PM me if you need an EGR adaptor

I've seen the headers your questioning.. they don't look bad for the money and have often thought about trying it. I guess if they don't fit you could always send them back.

For $269.99 from Jeg's, I'd say that's worth it, even if you have to do some slight modification.

How about everyone chips in $5 to buy the headers for me to test fit... And if they fit I will send all of you $5 back...

LOL... thats what I figured. I'm going to go ahead and pick up a painted set for $250. If they're close I'll modify them. If not I'll send them back.
