New to the marauder and im doing my homework now. How many different blowers are avaliable for the marauder currently as a complete kit? Does KB make one? What are the stock internals limited to in terms of power production? My Lightning safety zone is 500rwhp and I want to see how the marauder compares.

Trilogy (roots type) Jerry Barnes

Vortech (Centrifugal) Dennis Reinhart

To my knowledge, these are the only kits available for the Marauder.

Eaton swaps use existing parts from '03 - '04 Mustang Cobras, plus some fabbed parts to complete the installation.

Depending on the tune, any S/C set up on a MM will get you between 400 and 450 rwhp at 8 to 14 lbs boost. Rods and pistons are the weak link in the stock block.

so there are guys running 450rwhp with no issues then I take it? Im guessing the vortech is a little cheaper than the trilogy setup?

Yes.

The Vortech is cheaper than the Trilogy. All depends on how you want it to look under the hood and when you want the extra HP and TQ.

the trilogy is basicly an eaton and you will be limited to power if you ever want to build an engine and make 600rwhp plus, unless they offer the twin screw again. the vortech you can always go bigger by changing the head unit, also with the cenrifugal if you want to get the best of it you will need a big stall converter and lower gears.
it all depends on the future plan for your car.

i have a vortech 410s and a 3000 stall converter. very happy lots of power at any rpms. makeing a safe 440 rwhp.

Doesn't Zack have a Whipple on his Black MM making something like 650+hp on a Cobra block? Not that it's a kit. But another option.

Doesn't ProCharger make a blower or is that basically a Vortech.

both procharger, and vortech make centrifcal superchargers, two independent companys/competitors

Procharger has self-contained oiling system, Vortech you need to tap the oilpan, if that's any concern...

They look kinda similar on the outside if you just glance at them quickly, and work on the same principle. But they are rather different internally.

The Procharger kit is no longer available.

The maximum HP you can safely make on a stock internal engine varies.
There are some members running 500 RWHP on a stock block.

It all depends on the maximum rpm and, more importantly, a good, SAFE tune.
Any detonation on the DOHC rods & pistons while under full boost = ventilated block.

Not entirely true you could use a Votech V3 head unit or any of the Paxton SL head units.

When you start pushing 550hp and up- (like Zack's monster) you start to have other problems like running out of fuel. I know Zack had to change his' fuel system and went to a return type fuel system which was alot more plumbing. Then throw in the upgraded trans/rear end as these parts start to go and you can see your expenses mount very quickly.

Amen to that, Joe!

And the motor doesn't have to be S/C'd to ventilate due to detonation, I've seen a basically stock engine let go due to it.

Totally correct Joe! Give it a very good & safe tune. I have been running this for over 3yrs now.
