View Full Version : Polished Aluminum Pedals

I have found a set of polished aluminum pedals for our Firehawk and was wondering if anyone was interested in having a set made for their Marauder. I've talked to the president of the company and he is checking to see if it can be done. But to cut cost, he needs to make them in sets of 10. Haggis and I are interested in a set for our Marauder.
Check out this website for pictures and info.

If you are interested, please contact me. Or call CJ at

Looks good to me, as long as MARAUDER is in some sort of "manly" writing like the corvette one . the lightning one doesnt look that great , neither does the firehawk . just my thoughts .

Hey, y'all, heads up here.
DynoPro isn't the manufacturer of these pedals. DynoPro is a speed shop in Wauconda, IL. that brokers mail order performance parts. Last time I visited, there was no inventory on hand and the only product in stock, was speed. Their "10 sets" rule is most likely their minimum order from their vendor, provided these pedals are already in production somewhere. This offer from DynoPro is not a promise to manufacture MM pedals, and I suspect they will reply in a few days with "not available." Hey, don't shoot the messenger, until you hear my suggestion.
Chris...If the pedals are not already in production yet, you have two options. Get them made, or, modify something already made to meet our wants, like custom engraving a smooth billet pedal. What ever you decide, I suggest you collect e-mail commitments from interested members here, and when you can say "I've got 12 promises from MM members who will buy," contact Jerry Barnes at Trilogy.
Jerry knows the small volume custom fabrication market, and he has the business contacts it will take to get stuff like this produced. They will be pricey, know that know. More than twice the price of what you see available for your Firehawk from DynoPro. However, our MMs are special to us and sometimes cost isn't a factor when it's the right stuff. Without asking him first, I am sure Jerry will help you out anyway he can, because he's that kind of guy.
Marty and I have been down this custom fab road before with other ideas. Our fender badges and lapel pins worked out fine, but we had to commit to a minimum production run to make it happen. It did, but we were more lucky than smart. Other projects like grille badges and AutoMeter A pillars never got off the ground, partially because we could not agree on one design, and partially because we could not chance the investment in a limited production run with no guarantee of resale.
Start this up, see what happens. A "gee whiz, I love that, I'll take a set!" post is not a commitment, it's an emotional reply to the stimulant. How many here would really pay 120-125 bucks for a two pedal set?
Well I would, but y'all know I nutz anyway...

NO disrespect Sarge but when I say something, IRL, on the phone, or on the internet, I mean it. And I think since most people here are seasoned veterans of life they are are the same. Your right it is nice to invision something but we know that anything for our cars will be pricey. =)

I would like to thank everyone for their interest and comments.
CJ called me today saying that he CAN get the pedals made. He suggested going with MARAUDER over the Godshead, simply because the Godshead would be more difficult to produce.
Haggis and I would rather have the Marauder name, because the Godshead in more a symbol of Mercury and not the name of the special car that we own. Our Firehawk pedals will be arriving in a week; we will then post pics of them. The letters on the pedals for the Firehawk and Lightning reflect the writing of their name on the vehicle's decals. We will have CJ make the pedals in bold block letters, like the name on the bumper, MARAUDER. We will also have the dead pedal as part of the set. The cost will be approximately $75 +sh but could be less depending on the number of orders.
It looks like to us that we have 9 members interested and 8 questionable. Please PM me if you are definitely interested in ordering the pedals with MARAUDER. I will then start the process rolling with CJ.
Thanks,
Chris

This is GREAT news, Chris, thank you. Apparently DynoPro has grown larger in the months since I last visited them. C.J. and Angelo should be proud of their accomplishments, please keep us posted on developments and availability.
I can't PM you, but please count me in on the buy order. I will follow up with an e-mail.
LVMarauder...I was not specific for a reason, no need to call out others who need not be clled out. After a while here, and with a few projects under my belt, I've learned to know there is a difference between one who posts a promise, and one who keeps their word.
If you felt my comments are negative against you, you are wrong to believe that. No single member was a specific to me, it was more about the reality of what happens here.
My apologies, my friend. No harm intended. No foul?

Okay, I talked with CJ today. I told him that there are currently 18 members that would buy the pedals. He was very pleased to hear it. I will be sending him pictures of our current pedals with their dimensions. It sounds like the dead pedal and gas pedal do slide over the existing pedal, but I think the brake pedal will be a replacement. I will be able to describe it better when our Firehawk pedals arrive next week. Mac, he will add them to his website once they are made.
I am going to wait until Monday, December 29th, to give him a final count. We would not want to leave out any of our MM friends since they may be travelling for the holidays. If you have sent me a PM and I responded, then you are confirmed. If you have posted an interest but not PMed me, please send me a PM to confirm your order. Thanks!

1. I would think that the pedals do not go over the rubber. The rubber comes right off. I think that the pedals screw onto the metal base.

The opening thread here has a link to the reseller, DynoPro. Page down that page and look at the other pedals already in production for a number of vehicles. You shouldn't expect the Marauder pedal to look much different from them.
I'm expecting these pedals to be of high quality polished aluminum, perhaps laser eteched. These pedals are almost twice the price of other kits I've looked up since Chris opened this topic. I've seen nothing of this quality, at prices averaging 30 bucks a set. You should be pleased with them, but clarify DynoPro's return policy before you order.
BTW, looking at the other pedals on DynoPro's page, it appears that these pedals are screwed in place, so, there may be some light drilling involved. Also, none of the dozen or so kits I looked at elsewhere included an emergency brake pedal.

Over the last couple weeks, I have been in contact with CJ at Dyno Pro Performance providing him with pictures and dimensions of the pedals, including our Kenny Brown dead pedal. CJ is working with the maker of the pedals. They are working on a master set with MARAUDER on the brake pedal. They are also trying to get the font for MARAUDER as close to the lettering in the gauge cluster and bumper. I don't want to seem to pushy with CJ, I know he is working on it. But I will call him sometime next week to see how it is going.
Our Firehawk pedals have arrived and are of excellent quality. I will try to post some pictures of them this weekend. However, Gordon and I are not going to try to install them until we have some warmer weather.

I'm interested, however--as I have posted here before--my problem is the big space(void) between the right side of the gas pedal and the tranny housing..so much in fact , foot can slide behind the pedal---
So , I'm interested in the width of this gas pedal--hopefull wider so this "open" area is closed up a little....
I guess I better go review the info page they have --but if anyone knows --it would be appreciated.....Thanks......To m

The dimensions (width, height, length) of the current pedals have been provided to the maker of the pedals. I did not discuss with CJ enlarging any of the pedals. You are the first to mention any concern about the space between the gas pedal and tranny housing. We did not consider this because neither Gordon nor I have a problem with this.

And When ever you show your car, more than likely your going to have the brake set.
I just think that if we are going to pay for a custom set of pedals, we might as well get the complete set. And other than our group......NO one will have a complete set.
All the currently manufactured sets for all other vehicles lack a complete set....we will make the lightening guys jealous.

Not to my understanding???
As far as it goes Ladyhawke is still waiting to hear from CJ as to the progress and first pics of the pedals. Everyone please be patient, as soon as she hears something it will be posted. We were not on the computer this past weekend due to forces beyond our control. We will check our e-mail tonight and if there is anything to report we will let you know as soon as possible.

I know everyone is very anxious in seeing the pedals and getting them on their cars. I got home too late from work to call CJ this evening but I'll call him tomorrow for additional information.
Thank you Kathy for helping to update this thread.

I talked with CJ this evening. He will be sending me pictures to post by the beginning of next week. I will then post them for all to see. Be looking for a new thread. This one is getting too long.
It should be a four pedal set including the emergency brake. The font should be block lettering. I also hope to be posting the final price at that time.

Has he had an actual car at hand to test fit them to?
The emergency brake pad is an interesting one. The current emergency brake arms and pad are all one piece moulded plastic (no removeable pad anymore). It will be interesting to see how they execute fitment

Isn't the gas pedal one piece moulded plastic too ? The brake pedal is the only one with a removable rubber cover. Hopefully they'll turn out great.

CJ says that the maker does locate a car to check the fit of the pedals. They will come with instructions and hardware for installation.

One day this coming week, I'll be taking my Girl out to C.J.'s so they can fit and photo the pedals, weather providing. He said he'll call when the pedals are in house. I'll try and keep them confused while I spirit away the prototypes...hehehehe.

The way this thread is going, I thought people had just died and going to heaven!
For the uninitiated like me, what is so hot about aluminum pedals?
I would think that your foot could slip off the pedal more easily, and even more easily, if the bottom of your shoe is wet.
What other well known cars come with them as stock?

John,
FYI, The C5 Corvette comes Standard with an Alum Brake pedal (Auto.) and Brake and Clutch for 6-sd. I have never had a problem with the Brake pedal for my Vette.

Lots of high-performance cars come with them, John...mostly they are for aesthetic reasons...give you that racecar feel. The new GT has them, as well as Mustangs...
