Can anyone give me the correct thermostat brand and part number? I think I got the wrong one at Oreilly and that's causing my overheating. I just need the brand and part number for the correct one. Thanks! I assume Ford would have the right one too... right?????

This is the best tstat on the market for a modular motor:

If you dont want to spend that much go to Napa and get a THM-109 it is 180*

Are you experiencing intermitent overheating? If so, t-stat may be okay, and the cooling system may need to be burped.

Unless you installed it upside-down, the thermostat shouldn't cause overheating even if it's the wrong temp. Most likely you have air in the system, which is very easy to do when replacing the 'stat.
The factory thermostat is 188°...you shouldn't go lower than this unless you have a tune and a cooler 'stat is recommended by the tuner.

This past weekend, after seeing a spike in temp. before the heat came on, the radiator needed to be replaced. Now my marauder has 117500 miles and has been well serviced(I think), is this common to replace a radiator? Also was told that I would need to replace the lower ball joints.
Thanks for advice

Not common to have to replace a radiator.
Per the shop manual, to replace either the upper or lower ball joints, you'll have to replace the entire assembly.

I replaced only my lower ball joints when I did my front suspension overhaul not the whole arm.
I rented the tool to press out the old ones and press in the new ones from Advance Auto parts.
Ball joints cost about $40 each and once I had the spindle removed pressed the old one out and new one in less than 15 minutes. I got the Moog P/N K80141 with grease fittings, just make sure you angle the fittings so you can easily access it.

I had same problem with O Reilly. (CR 4863692 Thermostat 4089) Spent a saturday burping cooling system without success.
Purchased a Stant thermostat (OP 14089 thermostats-stant 14089) Special ordered and installed next weekend. Drove old Bronco to work to not overheat Marauder.
Stant thermostat works great!
