A few things to think of.
First Saturday of June is the all Ford Show in Hillsboro Oregon.
I have been to it with my SVO and a few Merkur's.
There is a small swap meet and is a really great event.
I havent been in a few years though, so I hope its still the same.

The other thing would be getting together at PIR on a Saturday and taking advantage of the Les Schwab Late Night Drags.
$9 to sit in the stands, $25 to race.

I know I want to make a few passes just to see what numbers I get.

I guess it depends if you would be willing to head down here for a get together of owners down here.

If so, then yes. :burnout:

HorneDogg
03-17-2012, 11:01 PM
Well I got my Marauder off the trailer today and I am freaking astounded! It is ridiculously fast as hell! At WOT it want to turn the rears over shifting into OD on the interstate at around 80 something. That's with traction control on. It is everything I wanted and more in the Marauder I had in my mind. Not to mention the whine of that S/C driving down the road or through a parking lot. Heads turn everywhere. Hell I caught like four cops damn near breaking their necks checking it out like a set of big boobs or nice ass on a good looking woman! lol! Did get pull over due to the fact that I haven't put the stupid a$$ front WA license plate on the bumper because it has never had one and I done want to mess up the bumper. I will see how long I can get away with it and I am going to research the law on it to see what I can actually get away with before I go drilling into anything. If anyone has any useful info post it up please. Thanks.

So I didn't leave the house til 1725. Normally i live my house by 1700 due to the fact my job is 40miles away. My daily driver prior to my MM was a 05 Scion xB, dont get me wrong i drove the ahit out of that thing and i still due and it just takes it and keeps oming back for more. Very reliable! With MM i was able to make it to work and parked by 1755. The car on the highway is ridiculous! It has so much passing power and if you are not paying attention when you are driving you will be sitting at 110 not even realizing that you are driving that fast. Yeah it has cruise control and I have used it already. I was running late today so of course you know me I was balls out in it. 135mph for a few miles with no problems at all. The ride is sick fellas felt like I was doing 60mph and still wanted to pull hard. I had plenty of RPMs left even with the 4:10s it will more than likely run a 150mph no problem. I think it is only running 4psi of boost to but I might change that to more later on by swapping the pulley. It has NITTO drag radials on the rear it looks mean as hell in my opinion! Cant wait to meet up and show off our rides! Nothing compares to that V8 sound when you mash that pedal to the floor and don't let go! I can't wait to see what my Black Widow is running in a quarter! :coolman::banana2::beer:

MERRILL,

Thanks for the Hide A Plate website! i think i will definately be purchasing one of those for my Black Widow. the only thing i cant decide on is if i want to mess with the cops and get the motorized one or just be a law abiding civilian and get the manual one. I think it would be funny as hell to have a cop pull me over for no plate and then it is there and i act like he was wrong, Hiliarious!

Merrill

Man that thing is beautiful, careful on your speed, we don't want to hear about you in trouble with johnny law. I am convinced a SC MM is about the perfect car, streetable but an animal when WOT. I would bet you got wrong info on your boost,
you are probably around 10 psi which is not a problem from what I hear for a stock motor. Can't wait to see it.

03-18-2012, 10:43 PM
I'm defintely up for a get together but likely won't be available until April or May as I've got a lot going on right now and my car is parked right now due to bad pinion bearings, leaking pinion seal so it's going to get 4.10's as soon as I get a chance which may not be until May.

HorneDogg
03-19-2012, 07:27 PM
So today i called about my S/C because i noticed that at WOT i was only getting a boost reading of 4psi which i know couldnt be correct. i was right. it is supposed to be 10psi. i inquired as to what could make this happen and i was told to check out my tensioner and sure enough it was against the stop and my belt was slipping. i am guessing that this was the strange noise i heard when i was at WOT the few times i actually got on it. I thought it was a beast at 4psi of boost now i am ready to just go to a whole other level with 10psi of boost, it is going to be insane! Also it seems that now my Autometer fuel pressure gage has stopped working for some reason, i dont know if it is the gage or the sensor on the fuel rail. any thoughts or silimar issues and corrections would be helpful.

jhorne@leetechnologies.com

This is my personal email address and it is linked directly to my cell phone. I was unable to make it to the GTG this past time also due to work and a couple of other things, but I am going to try and make it to the next one.

I would really like to try and have some of our GTGs at some interesting or off the beaten path landmarks and try to get some awesome photos of everyone's cars. So if anyone has some suggestions of places or somewhere interesting post it up and that will give everyone a chance to vote and decide where to meet.

Thanks,

You know Snoot i was just on that website looking at their facility and what they offer. SCT tuner website is how i actually found them due to the fact that i am trying to locate a shop that would be able to Dyno tune my MM in the future after i purchase and install my headers and exhaust, intake spacer, and a few other mods a little further out in the future.

definately would be worth checking out! i will keep my mind on this and setup some reminders and notifications for myself to get the emails out.:banana2:

I was in Kent today and on the way back stopped at the Mustang Shop.
I asked if Marauders were welcome there and he said sure Marauders are cool.
I mentioned our group was thinking about showing up on a dyno day, last Sat of every month by the way. The owner said they have worked on a lot of stuff but not tuned or had a MM on their dyno. 60.00 and you get two pulls, also they can simulate 1/4 mile runs. Could be fun.

I'd be up for that hopefully by May as my car won't be back on the road until then and I'll be out of town the last sat in April.

Great, would be a lot of fun for a good showing of MM to be there.

I would be up for the Dyno Day as well. Hopefully I will be done by May. Now that I have a couple of flexible 10MM ratcheting wrenches I can make some progress on my car.

That would be awesome if we could have a great turn out on the Dyno Day there. I dont know if i would be able to make it due to the fact my baby girl is due around that time and i dont want to be to far from home in the case she decides to make an appreance. 26th May would more than likely be a definate for me though. on top of that no one would have to worry about the pass conditions.

Checked the Mustang Shop website and they are closed for Memorial Day weekend.
Didn't think about the holiday when we talked about the dyno run get together.
We can plan on June or something else, lot more shows scheduled now.
What say you?

Works for me i wouldnt be able to make it this month anyways due to the fact i am having to pull my heads off. I believe that i drop a valve seat on one of the the #2 cylinder intake valves. wont know till i get in there though.

Will do Merrill Thanks. This is good and bad, good that I get a chance to actually put in some new parts that I have been wanting, also will allow me to do a little customize painting on valve coves and intake. Install the PHP intake spacer and TB spacer along with Manley valve springs, rear cooling mod along with some other things. Bad news is well I guess it is all good news! lol!

Has been really quietly on the forums lately. What happened to the good old days when we had 6-8 MMs out with the CV guys?

We miss everyone. Where's BJ and Linda and the rest of the crew!? :)
