..and not because of the reason your thinking. I can't get the drivers side seat tab to relatch on the seat frame (see attached picture). It was like this when I bought it. I think I am trying to put it on correctly but I just can't seem to get it to hook on. Any advise to get that bastard back on there?

Mine also, (but passenger side), someone please help. I'm thinking of having my wife sit forward in the seat and then trying.

I can't even get it to latch. If I can I might come up with a makeshift clamp to keep it in place.

Wow, I thought I was the only one.
Been that way since I bought it. I don't always notice it...but when I'm vacuuming the car out, I usually go "hmm, I should fix that..."

The problem is as the leather stretches there is not enough tension to keep that retainer in place, so everytime you reattach it it will fall down.
My fix was to unbolt the seat, install the retainer, drill through the retainer and pop rivet it to the frame. It's been secured like that for 7 years.

Yup, same thing, and same result.
If you're not up to it, pull the seat, send it to FBM's LCM, EATC, and Seat Repair Shop and he'll fix it right up for you...;)

Hey! I got it on, just had to sit in the seat and stop being a little ***** about it. Now we will see how long it stays on there.

I re-attached mine a few times. Last time has lasted quite a while. Kneel on the cushion and flip over the plastic piece and push HARD on to the metal tab. It will snap on eventually. Make sure to get the ends attached.
