And wondering does anyone have an extra one lying around somewhere. If not I have to go back to stock ride height and that kinda sucks since riding low for about 4 years. Other than Eibachs, how much success has those with cuts springs had long term with them and how much drop do you all have? Please let me know. I want to push the button on the Moog's if I can get them cut and still have a solid safe ride.

I have had cut OEMs for over 5 years and over 60K miles w/no problems.
Excelent ride. 1 1/4 coil cut off w/almost 2" drop.

What is the process for cutting a coil out? It seems this is the route I will have to take.

The air powered cut-off tools are the way to go. This is the one I used.

With the coils out it's easy to count off the # of coils or fractions there-of and clearly mark w/tape or marking pen. Then just cut through the coil with the tool above making the cut square to the end or as close as you can get by eye.
Worked for me!

Big House - What is the spring rate on the Moog springs ? What coil over shocks have you been running up front with your Moog springs ?

The spring rate was not listed on the website but said they are direct replacements for OEM equipment. Unless I can find some good Eibachs...the cut Moogs are going to be it.

Personally I would NOT cut new springs, they simply won't drop much. You are far better off looking for some used stock springs and cutting them.

It's been a couple years for me with one coil cut 5/8" drop for a week, then about an 1" for a year, now about an 1 1/2".
