If I was closer I would be. I got site in my new hardware for my SR-556. I guess Iam spoiled living in the country I got my own 50-100 yard shooting lanes

I'd be up for it other than Bristol is pretty anal with some really weird rules.

It sure sux that they closed Fox Valley,I shot there for over 32 years. It was sort of a family tradition.I taught my son and kids from the neighborhood firearms safety and how to properly use firearms and to shoot there. It was always a real hoot to see those guys cone out with what we called K Mart Rambo rifles, fancy modified Ruger 10-22's with different barrels and stocks, big scopes and 50 round magazines and toss marshmellows in the plinking pond get hollered at by the range master for rapid firing and never hit the marshmellow. When it drifted over our way my son or one of his fellow 8-10 year old kids would pick up their old iron sighted Mossberg bolt guns, throw one round in the chamber and nail the marshmellow. They sure embarassed a lot of the grown ups with the fancy rifles, lol
Too bad they didn't have 600 and 1000 yard ranges when I had my good stuff.I always thought 200 yards was too close for my H&R Garand and the Barett .50 and my other center fire rifles.

I'm up for it.

I miss the plinking pond too. Aurora Sportsmanship Club out in Waterman has ranges up to 600 yds.
