i have a wierd funny smelling smoke thats coming out of my exaust at start up. Just wondering what it may be. Im pretty sure i need a good tune but i dont know anyone in the area. But im not sure if thats what would cause the smoking. Hope its nothing too crazy. It is a 2003 with about 95k miles on it?

You really don't give us much to go on with your description of "weird funny smelling smoke". Blue smoke on start up has been a common thing for some owners and has been discussed here for as long as the site has been up and running. If it is just an occasional puff at start up, it is probably not an issue. Ford considers this typical for the 4.6L 4V. Likely can be traced to valve seals. Some recommend "Auto RX" to clean the valve seals over time. Any other fix is time consuming and expensive. So .... just how weird does this smoke smell. Give us some more details.
Do an "advanced search" on thread titles with the word "smoke" in it and you will see tons of threads.

The "smoke" your seeing is oil residue or "blowby" from the crappy pcv system. It's being burned in the combustion chamber.

I agree it's just a little oil, have you changed PCV valve lately? It may not solve the issue but it's a very inexpensive part so no harm in trying.

lol yea it may be a blue or whitish i was trying to check it out today. I mean it runs fine pretty much i guess if its something bad and it goes boom ill be ok i got a drivetrain warranty. Was just wondering if people with after market exhaust headers and intake had that before they got a tune. I also think i need o2 sensors. Im located in pinellas florida anyone know of a decent place to get it tuned at?

If you needed O2 sensors or any emission control device a check engine light would be on. FL has plenty of tuners, Steeda, DAZ racing etc... just do a search or pick up a MM&FF mag they're located on FL now and are always at local shops.
