About a year ago oil was leaking into my coils and i was getting this bumping under 2K rpm. I fixed the problem and replaced the plugs but not the coils. I remember the coils having oil burnt onto them, but the guy that was working with me insisted that the coils were still fine, yet my car still has this problem just not as often. I just bought accel coils and motocraft platinum plugs. what is the gap for the plugs. I gapped them at .042 last time. also any tips or tricks to make this easier will be greatly appriciated. thanks guys.

The gap on a NA marauder is .052~.056 I hope you used some antisieze on the threads and you have to TQ them 11lbs

I always gap mine on the low side of the range so as the plugs wear the gap will still be in the range.
Change plugs when the engine is cold.
Use anti-seize.
Use a torque wrench when tightening.
Small dab of silicone sealer at the rear of the coil covers where the wiring harness enter.

Based on everything I have heard/researched, OE coils are just as good as the Accel units. I simply upgraded to the GMS connectors and NGK plugs. Someone chime in if I am wrong.

Unless your running a massive amount of boost, stock coils are fine. I do highly recommend the GMS or other coil connectors to replace the stock units. The stock coil connectors are like a ball point pen spring.... the GMS ones are stainless steel wires.. you can barely bend them.
Guess which one is the stock coil connector....
