Free Parts Weekend
You asked for it, you got it…another “Free Parts Weekend”
Saturday, March 19, 2011
There will be a $49 admission fee (this price includes tax) and then all of the parts that you can carry with your hands* are FREE except engines, transmissions, or differentials. See Below for Details.
** For this special event, only people paying admission will be allowed into the yard.
** $49 admission (this price includes tax). Cash only, please. For this event no store credits will be allowed.
** Bring your tools and take off the parts that you need. If you can carry it across “the finish line” with your hands (no wheelbarrows, rope, carts, or sleds of any kind will be allowed) – the parts are yours - Free!
** If the part is located underneath the car (example: gas tank, transmission, etc.), we will remove it for you at no extra cost. We will drain any fluids and set the part at your feet, you will have to carry it to “the finish line”.
** If there is a part that you need help removing (example: door), we can remove it for you, but you would have to pay our normal labor rates. In the case of our example (door), the labor would be an additional $25. So, come prepared to remove the parts yourself.
**All parts will be taken in “as is” condition. There will be no refunds or exchanges and no guarantee or warranty on any of the parts. So if you are not sure that the part will work, take four (4) of them to increase your odds.
**Only the cars that are located in our main yard will be available for Saturday. Any car that is in our east fenced lot, will not be available.
** Definition of “carry with your hands”: You must be able to lift the parts off of the ground and carry them past the “finish line” in one (1) trip. You will be allowed to drag them up to that point, but once there you must be able to lift the parts off of the ground, using your hands and/or body, and carry them about ten (10) feet. If any of the part(s) that you are carrying touch the ground during that ten (ten) feet, you will have to go back and try again. If after three (3) tries you are unsuccessful at carrying it across the “ finish line”, you will either have to pay for additional admission(s) or leave some parts.
** Engines, Transmissions, and Differentials**
To help prevent serious injury, an engine will cost three (3) admissions ($147) and transmissions/differentials will cost two (2) admissions ($98). You would have to find the vehicle that you want the engine / transmission / differentials from, we will remove it, bring it up on a forklift, and load it into the back of your vehicle. You will NOT be allowed to lift an engine / transmission / differentials. If you would like parts in addition to an engine / transmission / differentials, you must pay another admission fee ($49) and then carry those parts yourself.
** You will be allowed one (1) trip into the yard for each admission that is paid.
** Definition of “one (1) trip: Once you pass “the finish line”, you will have to pay another admission fee to
re-enter.
** If you don’t find the parts you are looking for, or if the value of the part(s) is less than the $49 (45.27 + tax), we will give you an in-store credit for the difference towards a future purchase or entrance fee for another
“Free Parts Weekend”.

I just told my roommate about this. He was wondering if six of us could walk in and carry out a whole car. $300 for a parts car. I would find the most complete car our there and part it out of my garage. Rent paid for everyone!

The more I read this event the worse it sounds. Notice how they do not give full access? I would assure you they put out all the junk and everything the yard would lose money on will be restricted for the day.
