Overheating Problems

This past weekend, I had to replace the Radiator and Thermostat do to overheating. With 117500 miles and regular maint. does this seem normal to anyone? Also, it was noted that I would need lower ball joints. Thanks for your advice.

How often did the cooling system get flushed and new anti-freeze added?

I guess it's not unusual for the ball joints needing to be replaced since there is no way to keep grease in them.

Who did the work?

The cooling system was last serviced maybe 2 years ago. I always had the same garage do the work. I've using them for years without problems. I've taken the DTR to them since new. ( new to me) Thanks for your input.
