Im looking for new(actually new or new to me, either way) heads to put on my car. Lock story short i had a lack of oil situation so now i have a perminant knock. the knock isnt hurting the eingine but i hate the way it sounds.

What cylinder is the knock commimg from?

I'll have a set of factory 03 marauder heads for sale complete in about a month when I swap my fr500 heads on. Idk if you can wait that long. Also where's the knock coming from. Never really heard of a knock that isn't harmful unless it's in your head or timing chains

Unfortunitly the head tick is more common than any of us would like. My motor had this condition since new. Now at 135,000 miles still runs strong. The driver side closest to fire wall is the culprit. I think it is due to that cylender being the hotest. This is why many have done rear head cool mod.

I have the same issue. But sadly mines developed a knock =( I only have 110k on mine bit it's had a hard life and I bought it use so who knows what my baby has been through lol
