Pending approval, which you prefer?
Auction or raffel ?
If this is satisfactory, The winner gets to achieve contributing member status.

excellent ideas, I like the raffel too!
My thoughts;
sell 100 tickets $5.00 each.
One ticket per member so the equal chance thing is observed.
proceeds go to the site as mentioned and to have a pair of wheels widened , for the next raffel.
