Well gentlemen, I have sold my Marauder. Trilogy #154.
I just don’t have room for 3 cars in my 2 car garage.
After 7 years of incomparably great fun, fellowship, and help
from our Marauder community I am putting my fine machine
in younger, stronger and faster hands. I’ve sold it to a gentleman
from this site though not from this area. Rest assured it’s in great hands. I’ll
leave it up to him when the time is right to make the announcement.
I’ve been very fortunate to have owned some really special cars. Big block
Corvettes, Tri power J2 Oldsmobile’s, Cadillac’s, Audi A8’s, BMW 750’s’
I’ve built old Fords (50’s and Model A’s) with flathead Ford and small block
Chevy engines but the Marauder has always had a certain mystique all its own
that you just won’t find in any other car. Only we of the Collective understand this.
As for me, I want to thank so many great people from both sites that I have
come to know through the years. Obviously the greatest among equals is,
with out a doubt, our Cruzer, Maury. His tales of experiences from his rich background
have kept my wife and I entertained for years. Thiers’s no one else like him
and probably never will be again. Thanks Pal.
So many other fine folks, so very, very many. I won’t try and name you all cause sure as
Hell I’d miss a bunch.
Besides, you know who you are.
Hope to still visit you at the car shows.
Thanks, everyone, thanks for the memories…………………………….

Well hey, glad the car's staying in the community.

And don't be a stranger, drop and and say howdy now and again.

Back in the glory days--'03- '05--we sure had a great time here in the DFW area. We had 21 MMs at one show--and you were the first to chrome -out the engine compartment and become a true "Marauder " show car. You and Barb have been the staunchest supporters of our group--always ready to show up and show folks what a Marauder was. I thank you for your support and encouragement in the last few years--I will really miss visiting with you and Barb at the shows. I hope that you will continue to keep in touch and visit with us at our activites--stay healthy and happy---see you soon, Maury:beer:

Yep, I bought that pretty chrome from rumble about 3 years ago. It made my engine bay look sick. I to sold my MM about a year ago. Sure do miss the barge.

I never understand why someone sells a vehicle that they speak very highly of.

Tell me who is in your Avatar again. I wanted to see what film, but forgot what it was.

The avatar in OP's post is Humphrey Bogart.

Your point is well taken. However, very few of us can keep every car we really liked.
Unfortunately through the years I’ve sold many rides that I wish I still owned.

But, hey, that’s just the way it goes. C'est la vie.
We never really own anything; we just get to use it for a while and then pass it on.

Everything I own is for sale (including my Marauder if the price is right!)
