A quick ? to the everyone here. On a weekly average, how many ppl come up to you and say " hey my man.. that's a bad :censor: you have there" or " Bro, that is a nice car". Everywhere I go the rauder gets more attention then the newer vehicles (bmw,caddi,benz,..etc). I thought I knew how popular this car was but it seems I didn't fully understand.

I've had a marauder for a week and in the few times I've taken it out I'm bombarded with compliments. The lady at the gas station asked me to hang out so she could call her sister to come over and see it

I've noticed I don't get nearly as much attention in the winter months when its dirty 90% of the time but during the spring and summer when I keep it CLEANNN it seems to stand out so much more.

To answer your question probably at least once a week if i'm doing a lot of traveling around town.

Every time the MM comes out of the garage it gets a compliment . Seems like it gets more comments in daylight, flames don't show after sunset.

I get impromptu car shows around the car. I show up at a classic car shows and attract more attention then the older restored cars. The loud exhaust makes people look and stare.

Several times, a handful of us MM'ers in Louisville rolled in to a monthly cruise-in sponsored by the Falls City Corvette Club held at a local Home Depot parking lot.

Rolling thru while scoping for parking spaces, many people were breaking their necks wondering who called the Fed's. LOL

Once parked, and more than once, the "Grand Poo-Ba" of the Corvette Club was there shaking hands with us when exiting our cars.

"Man, you guys sure know how to make an appearance!"

Coming from a "Corvette Guy", that is damn cool!

:D

My customer today asked my if it was a BENTLEY I parked in his driveway. A BENTLEY?, I laughed. When I told him what it was he was surprised to say the least.

A guy at the post office a while back said it was "stunning".

He's right.

I've had this car for 3 1/2 years. Longest I've ever owned a car. This MM has 121k miles. Most miles I've ever had on a car. I have no desire to get rid of her. First time in my life I don't want to get rid of a car in the first six months of ownership, and I've owned many, many brand new cars, and untold used ones.
Is she perfect? Hell no! (Pretty close....) But she's perfect for me!:banana2:

I always get, "That's a nice red Grand Marquis. What's with the Gangsta writing on the rear bumper and ghetto rims". :)

Big Chevy and import area around here. The "looks" you guys are getting are people trying to figure out if it's a cop car.

I often get complements whenever I have the car out, and since I've had the Eaton installed, I get alot of attention at gas stations if I have the hood up.

Many folks have never heard of a Marauder, and quite a few of those who have thought they only came in black. Still enjoy telling the "Marauder story" 7 years after getting my first one.

I had a guy in a new black camaro hanging out his window to tell me "me that is a sweet ride" I just nod and smiled.

Last week a guy pulls into the 7 Eleven where I stop for coffee before class, I can see the parking lot from the coffee island. I'm stirring it as he pulls up, gets out, looks at the Marauder, walks around it. Now I'm thinking "I don't want to beat up an old guy before class", but hey, whatevs. So as I put the lid on, he walks in, looks at me, then at a soccer mom and her son, then at me, then walks over and says:
"Is that your Marauder?"
"Yeeeeeees."
"It looks like it just rolled off the showroom."
Okay I think, now he's either stoned or about to serve me with papers.
"Thaaaaaaaaanks."
"Yeah I see you bought the first one sold."
"Huh?"
"Your plate has 1 of 328. I bought the second and third Marauders sold in Virginia."
"I didn't buy the 1st Marauder sold, I own 1 of the 328 blue ones."
"Must be an '04?"
At first it was neat, but now I'm thinking here we go, another frickin' Marauder owner with no clue.
"No, it's an '03, how did you buy the 2nd and 3rd ones?"
"Well another guy was there when the semi rolled in, he got the first one, and I got the second one, but the dash part under the steering wheel fell off onto my feet while we were sitting in it, so they gave me the third one."
"Do you still have it"
"No, I wish!"
"Okay, bye, nice meeting you.", and I left. Years back, I wrote about the guy in a black Marauder who stopped me on a side street to ask me who painted my Marauder, and it just got worse from there. He claimed to have bought the first Marauder sold in Virginia. I was really tempted to blurt out to the guy at 7-Eleven "Holy crap, now I've met the guys who bought the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Marauders sold in Virginia, and you both don't believe they made blue ones!" but I let it go.

Like every other day, there are so many ppl riding around in them damn police auction vics everytime im at the gas station or at a red light someone says something along the lines of "bad ass marauder" or "that ***** clean as hell man"

mostly younger cats...catch a bunch of older ppl looking but they dont say anything, i guess cuz i look like a thug and they might feel like i will assult them if they say something about my automobile

I still get people saying things even when it's covered in salt with the snow tires. Even with the current damage I had a person say sweet car. During the summer when it's clean I would get phrases though out the day. I LOVE ATTENTION, but only for things I enjoy. The Marauder being one of the few things. Same with my K5, when it's working.

The best time was when I was at a Import Car show and fired it up for everyone. I wasn't trying to taunt or anything, but when someone fired up their four banger I had to respond. I must have had a crowd of 30 people gathering around it, all mostly teenage tuner kids. The best part was they asked me to turn it back on later so they would actually get video/audio of the engine.

That's why I never have a problem with the Tuner crowd. Just be respectful and they will return the favor, or maybe I'm just lucky. In the end we are all gearheads.

Never got a ton of compliments on my Marauders, and they always looked like i was going to a show. I keep my cars nice, all the time. However, I have been driving an old 93 Bronco around for the winter, people wont leave me alone, everyone loves the old full size Bronco...

Pulled up to the pizza joint in our neighborhood shopping center. Came out with the pie and had a few guys from the bar next door asking questions, pretty soon the entire bar was out there. Took so long the pie was cold when I got home......

Love it!

Went to pick-up pizza a few weeks ago (when she was still running :(). When I came out, a few delivery kids had gathered outside amongst their Hondas and WRX's. When I got in my MM, 1 kid shouts "Marauder! Cool!!". I gave a wave . I was shocked he knew what it was, no less that he liked it.
