The search of the succesor of "merc-75 interceptor" has begun.

:banana2: After the traggic loss of my M-Panther " MERC-75 INTERCEPTOR" now the search for a succesor it started this week with the following contesters.

CONTESTER #1- Mercury Grand Marquis GS 2005/ 62.000 milles, superclean interiors,engine bay, under car, no rust comes from Florida dealer due that is a GS it doesn't come with the extras that comes with the LS model except it has keyless entry, two keys and and one remote transmitter, the price $14.000.00(ouch).

CONTESTER #2- Ford crown Victoria LX 2001/ 144.000 milles, dark blue, this Panther was used as a " Federal Enforcement unit " due to this it has the holes that hold the emergncy equipment and the side upper handguards were removed, car have double exhaust, AC, LX wheels, rear air suspension, am/fm/cassette radio, paint is in good condition except trunk lid that is a little faded (I suppose is that lost clear coat),the trunk open button don't work and windows don't function, The price $ 5.695.00. but the dealer owner says that due to this malfunctions we can negociate the price.

By now these are the only ones I have visit several dealers and as I see this cars are in extinction, I will keep us with info about the findings. :drive:

You're right in all your posts Mangs but untill now I don't have too much for choose, after the first post i've been visiting many other car dealers with no found for Crown vics or Mercury grand marqs, Marauders here are a Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery rare to find i found one in a car dealer shopper and when I call the owner tell me that the car was sold just two days ago by the price of $ 10.000.00 with 55.000 milles runned the owner( car dealer) tell me that the car was in heavy and extremely excelent conditions, so I miss the oportunity of mi life in get a Marauder... !! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAR RRRRGGGGHHHHH !!

Well Marauderers here is the CONTESTER # 3, 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis LS; white, gray interiors, leather seats, tinted glass all around, Power all, AC, the radio is in bad condition(cassette lid broken) Lumbar driver switch broken, no owner's manuals, rear visor has auto dimming & compass but is loose when the Panther is on moving it start shaking, rear suspension is conventional stell springs,109,459 milles runned price $4.700.00 but open to offer.

Untill now the contester #2 has more posibilities to be adopted !AH! a correction, the year of contester #2 is 2000 not 2001, I have visit more than 30 car dealers here in the west zone and 10 in north zone and nothing the search to found a M-panther was reduced drasticly, and as I think the contester # 1 was adopted by someome but i will check very well, I will keep you Marauderers informed. :type:

Yesterday at 4:00 pm the contester #2 was selected after an extensive search for other car dealers with CERO results I return to check about the Contester #1 but it was adopted a week ago by an old man enthusiast of these cars so I return to the car dealer where the contester# 2 was stored and after a test ride I start to discuss about the price, I claim that due that the Panther has a few minor malfunctions ( 3 windows inoperative, small battery, trunk do not open by remote or door button, check engine light on, keyless entry panel don't work, front hight ligts don't work ) and due that they no give warranty for the Panther the price has to be re-negociated, the negociated price was $ 4,600.00 , now I am a successful owner of a 2000 Ford Crown victoria LX HPP, I officially post a thread presenting my new Panther and more info about future plans on mods, tune up, etc. but the search for a Mercury Grand Marquis or Marauder continue it don't stop here, thank you all Marauderers who post or check this thread and for your advices which are very important to me. :thanks:-- MARAUDERERS.
