Well last week i pulled the marauder out of the garage and checked it over quick. Took it out for a little drive and it over heated after about 5 minutes. I let it cool down and ended up having to put 1/2 a gallon of coolant in it. Now i can hear a tick that sounds like its coming from the bottum of the car and i cant really hear anything from above the motor. Anyone have an idea before i put it up on the hoist at work next time the weather is nice?

Have you ever "burped the system"?

Confession time for me too. before I put my marauder away for the winter & coming down to scottsdale I took my marauder out for a last ride. When i hammered it on a quiet road i happened to look behind me & it sure looked like steam vapour trail. When I get back to Canada I am going to pull off the intakes & hope for a small coolant leak. If that doesn't work I think I'm in big trouble too. Any suggestions. Mr.Reinhart your comments would be nice as I have your Vortec. Kenny

^^ FYI there is not a single ounce of fluid running through the upper or lower intake.

Other than the heated pcv grommet.

i did find out the problem the next day...easy fix and nothing to worry about. the intake had pushed the fan shroud down enough to just touch the fan. No more noise now :)
