Remote works sometimes?

Hi Guys,
Never had this problem with the Marauder but I do with the 08 Grand Marquis. My remote for the doors will be working just fine then if the car is parked overnight (sometimes) the door remote will not work. It is a hit and miss. After I drive the car they work fine but after sitting it happens again. Batteries are new in the fobs so that is not the problem. Took it to the dealer (when still in warranty and now out) but they could not find a problem because it was working. Any ideas? It seems like with the warmer temps (above 0 here in WI) that it is happening more often now.

Do they "try" to work or you don't hear anything?

They do nothing. I can use the number pad on the door and that works. It just does not make sense that after I drive it the fob works fine. It is almost like a weak battery but the key fobs have new ones in them. Also, I tried both fobs and nothing. Locks work fine with the switches in the car. :confused:

You could try reprogramming the remotes.

Receiver is bad.

I was thinking it might be something like a bad receiver. Worth a shot to change it. Does anyone know where it is located and if it has a seperate part number so I can replace it.
