So I'm in te process of assembling another motor for my marauder. I have factory short, and will be bolting up a set of brand new ford racing fr500 heads and an eaton sc. Now I know the fr500 heads have updated cooling passages and such. Now ford suggests I use the head install kit from ford racing (link below)

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/M6067T46/1996-2004-Mustang-46L-4V-Cobra-Ford-Racing-Head-Changing-Kit

Now the kit has stronger head bolts , Matching head gaskets and a new dipstick and such. What worries me is The note

* * *NOTE: Will not fit 2003-2004 Cobra and not designed for use with Supercharged or other forced induction Engines.* * *

Now this is what scares me. Why would they not suggest using this kit for s/c applications. Are the head gaskets not strong enough? Should I use cobra gaskets? Obviously I'm going to check fitment and make sure all coolant passages match up. Now this also raises the question if I can use my fr500 heads with a blower application? I don't see why not and can't see what difference it'll make. Ill prob call ford racing tomorrow to double check. But any one have any idea? I havnt bought the kit yet . Just want to make sure I'm not Wasting my money

Get ARP studs and Cometic head gaskets.

Youngblood, the cooling jackets are revised but that does'nt mean you should'nt do a cooling mod.

The cooling mod has everything to do with the heater core routing specific to the Marauder.

As far as the parts, go with OEM gaskets and ARP hardware. The exhaust gaskets you already have can be reused. They are blowproof!
