Has anybody notice this unique dimmer phenomena?

1. When I turn my MM lights on manually the entire electronic instrument cluster will dim.

However,

2. When I have Autolamp on and is activated everything but the digital clock will dim.

Comments....:help:

I run with my parking lights on most of the time and it seems the radio and climate control read out are tied to the light sensor on the left of the dash?? At night the radio and climate lights are tied to the dash dimmer but the are full bright in daylight!!

Try covering your light sensor with a map and I think you'll see what I mean?? ;)

I had daytime running lights installed . My headlight switch just stays to the aut setting. I never touch it.

Marauderjack, Thats what I'm seeing. If the lights are turned on manually the radio, the standalone clock, and the climate control all react to the dimmer setting. If I choose Autolamp and let the dash sensor turn the lights on, only the radio and the climate control dim.
