My steering wheel started clicking a few weeks back. It makes a click when it changes turning direction and also when it passes the center point on the wheel.
Its like a chirping click/squeek and it gets awfully annoying when on uneven the highway. I can feel a slight vibration when the click happens and it is coming right from behind the wheel itsself.
Anyone experience this before?

Spray some WD40 on the steering shaft u-joints. If the clicking goes away you might need new u-joints.

If the noise is right in front of the steering wheel, then the clockspring is no good.

Also check under your dash make sure nothing is rubbing the steering linkage.

Ahhhh, then it shouldn't be the steering linkage hitting the header then.

if it's clicking the clock spring is going bye bye, the air bag light may start to flash at some point too. I've had it happen to me twice, not a hard fix, and I think last time I paid $60 or something for the clock spring online.

I got the kooks, its definitely right infront of the wheel. Is not hitting the headers thankfully, I checked that first. Thanks for the info, I now can just take it apart once and be done with it.

Where did you get the clock spring?

Mine didn"t make any noise execpt maybe a small snap, but you felt it big time. Mine was where the steering wheel itself attaches to the shaft. It became "sloppy", all it took was a 1/16th of a turn of the mounting nut to snug it up. Took forever to finally see what became loose..
