Hey all,

I've had the Addco front sway bar on my car for years now. Must be like 6 years. When I installed it back then I just re-used the stock end links. I recently started getting some suspension noise from up front and so I replaced the stock end links with the Moog end links (part number K80140). Everything went together fine, but the bottom stud on the links seems too short. This is the stud that goes through the hole in the bar. It's so short, in fact, that the stud does not go all the way through the nut. The last couple of threads on the nut are not engaged.

I talked with one other MM owner who has the Moogs and the Addco bar who says his is the same way.

Is this considered normal with this sway bar and these end links? Should I be using a different set of end links? Recommendations welcome. Thank you.

FWIW, I had my friendly FLM service dept do mine and they made no mention of any problems. I drove all last season on them and they were a great addition to the suspension. Made the front end feel very solid compared to prior with the OEM. I also have the Addco front/rear bars. I wonder if maybe they changed the part itself since then?

I had the same issue and went down to my local Ace hardware got lower profile nuts.
The nuts provided with the Moog endlinks are lock nut so I made sure the ones I picked up had a serrated flange so that they would grip the sway bar and not back out.

That's a good idea. Do you have a part number for the low profile nuts?

Unfortunately I don't, I just took one of the end-links w/nuts to my local Ace, sized it up and looked through the bins of Metric Grade 8.8 and 10.9 hardware till I found something.
