I raced at State Capitol in the "Southern Street Machine Shootout".
Street legal only with a 30 mile cruise with 2 State Police escorts.

We ended the cruise in the staging lanes and the 2 State Police Cruisers lined up and went down the 1/4 at 16.3 and 16.6 and 84.9mph! I asked if it was planned and one of the troopers said no that when he was young his father used to manage the track on the weekends.

He showed me all the 800lbs of gear they carry in their Police Interceptors. The amount of electronics is impressive.

My first TNT was against a Shelby GT500 which I beat due to him spinning.

For the race I line up next to a ZO6. We are on a Pro Tree and the green lites up. He gets the jump with him next to my front bumper. I begin to catch and my rear wheels are even with his front bumber, wow I am passing him. Then as we gain speed he begins to walk me.

He won at 11.2 to my 11.8.

I am still tweaking the car. It was 78*/63%
0.213 1.835 5.078 7.466 91.22 10.079 12.034 115.77
0.323 1.797 5.004 7.645 92.2 9.953 11.892 116.58

The Shelby GT500 ran 11.8, a Challenger ran 13.5 and the 5.0 Coyote Nitrous ran 11.1.

The stories about our Marauders keeping up with the "fast" 2-door cars never gets old.

I knew the guy who owned the Shelby GT500. I was helping him set up his car. What is amazing is right after his run he took the intercooler coolant cap off and stuck his finger in it. "Bath warm". It is an impressive set up.
A dedicated 10 rib belt.
I didn't know it was an SVT vehicle.
