Upon installation of the eaton swap to make things easy I was thinking of doing away with the EGR . At a later date I would fab & install the EGR pipe & valve. I will need the EGR for Massachusetts state inspection. My question is would I the need a retune when I then install the EGR ?

Why wait till later? It's purpose is to help cool down intake manifold temps and provides a little more MPG. You have plenty of room in the wiper cowl before interfearing with the actual wiper arm to box out enough room. An hour or two with flat plastic pieces to box out and done.

then what about the tube Bob? im not sure if a cobra tube would work with out modding.

After cutting up wiper cowl how do you seal up from rain & fumes ?

I was just having a talk about this very issue with another member.
The EGR valve to me is a must. The cooler exhaust temps makes everything healthy and happy.
Delete it and your heads, headers, cats, and O2's will suffer.

I was thinking about remote mounting my EGR valve so I dont have to cut into the wiper cowel. Does the EGR valve have to be mounted in its original orientation to work properly or can i mount it any which way? (sideways or upside down)

It works off vacuum, not gravity, thus any way, or position you want.

+1 It is a performance part all on its own..

Plastic weld a box out back in using spare straight plastic pieces or simply epoxy. You could do all repair work on the inside revealing a stock look.

May or may not. He who is becoming known as "man 2 who shall not be named" LOL makes HIMSELF and provides an adaptor for stock Marauder intake to cobra shorties, so I know for a fact this is easy peasy for "him/2.0" to figure out....

It may not be that difficult to bend up a tube & massage the cowl.

I have a member that may be willing to bring his MM over and leave it with me for a week so I can do this mod. I don't think you will have to touch the wiper cowl. I can still make it work, it's in my head I just have to lay it out. I considered relocating it under the steering colum between the egr bung and the framerail. This way all you have is a prebent 5/8" SS tube going to the S/C intake.
BTW Bob Thank You for the kind words :P

Had Bazzlebreath got off his lazy azz and brought me his old car, you would have seen BOTH versions... Musclemercs AND mine! Both are very easy and give you options. options are good...

I think a member here used a flexible gas range supply line as an egr tube.

Only way to do it is with SS. That way it can take the temps and looks stock.
I think the gasline would collapse prematurely from the heat

Most range supply lines are statinless you would probbaly need an uncoated one. Some have another plastic coating on top of the stainless but I have seen bare ones.
I think a member here used a flexible gas range supply line as an egr tube. That would be me. SS tube, end adapters and reuse the stock tube shield, worked pretty slick.

Care to send me a pic of what you did DTUB?
Maybe you can help me with this. I have been looking into making something but DO NOT have access to an Eaton Swap.
Let me know what you can do.
I'll see what I can find.
Might still have the old stuff.
