Hi Everyone -

Happy Spring!

I got the P.I.E. iPOD adapter from Logjam for the Rauder and I'm having problems getting the radio back in with the additional adapter/harness.

I have the "Black Box" routed down to behind the oil/amp gauges but I can't get the large connectors out of the way of the back of the radio so that it can lock back in.

Any suggestions?

As always, thanks,

Mark

You have to cut some of the shelf out under the radio. About 1.5 inches should do it.

What do you use to cut the shelf?

I used my handy - dandy Dremel with a cutoff blade and a vacuum. You might be able to score it repeatably with a razor knife then break it off.

I used a razor knife, worked just fine.

I tucked the black box into a small cubby under the heater ducts directly behind the radio, bottom right corner. I had to cut the mounting tabs off the box and it was still a tight fit.

Which part numbers for the PIE did you use?

I mounted my PIE interface adapter with Velcro right up to the bottoms of the LCM. Easy to get to if need be.
