I personally would Never use hose clamps on a fuel injected car.
I sell a Kinsler kit, I came up with this design years ago with braided stainless steel lines and compression fittings that is the only way I would do this, Ford does not recommend screw clamps, and splicing the high pressure fuel line, this is shown with compression fittings for stock lines, it can be ordered with dash 8 lines as well.

So there is nothing wrong at all the 90* bends and flimsy rubber hose that connects to it?

Here is the smaller Kinsler filter.
Here are the pictures of the Kinsler fuel filter installed on the car several members have asked for this.
You first remove the old filter and 90 degree bends clean off the steel lines install the compression fittings and lines install the high flow Kinsler filter and it fits in the OEM bracket. Check for leaks.

So why is this a better design besides you would never use hose clamps on your car? What makes this one so much better? What size is this filter? The rest of fuel line is not braided lines so why would I need the lines around my filter braided?
Specifics would be helpful.

The braided lines allow you to use a crimp collar on a steel line and to connect this to the fuel filter, the OEM fuel line is steel with high pressure neoprene hose pressed on to the line, the car can generate up to 60 PSI, I would never use rubber fuel line hose and hose clamps, as a business owner I could be liable for a lawsuit if I did this, and your car caught fire, again I am here to offer ideas, for improvement, this is not needed for every one, the fuel filter on our car is small, and should be changed every 12K the Ford Ranger fuel filter is much larger and will last longer and that information is on the site. Call me any time if you have any questions.
So where do we buy replacement filters and what is the part #? Is those AN6 fittings?

What fuel filter kit (2003-2004 year) did you use on some of your earlier MM conversions?
