I'll need to replace my rear tires this spring and I'm leaning towards the Nitto brand. And I was wondering if has anyone tried both of these tires? Which is better? I won't be driving in the snow but you never know when it might rain so decent traction in wet conditions is alway a good thing.

Oh and I am sporting OEMs in the front.

Lots of folks here running 420s with excellent results.

Mine came to me with the 420's and OEMs on the front, love em.

Had 555's on my SB04. Awesome tire in the rain.

I have 420's and they are awesome in the rain, no slippage and it barrels through the heavy Atlanta downpours

i have 555s all around. havent been that impressed with wet traction. they are great when its dry and warm. they do seem to harden when they get cold.
i have heard 420s are a better 3 season tire..

I have tried oems, m/t sportsman, nittos and now running the discontinued toyo proxes s/t on 285/50/18.
The toyos take the trophy, I ran 12.20 on them with 24psi on them, I have to say the nittos 420 are the closest when it comes to being a 3 season tire.

Thanks for the replies, I think I'm gonna go with the 420s.

sounds like a great choice!, i went with the 555 because that series had the size i wanted, 420 is an all season radial where as the 555 is a summer performance tire.
now i find my self wanting a wider slightly taller tire (cant stop thinking of that mini flintstone look)

Two entirely different compounds and sidewall designs...

The 555 is a performance tire and the 420 is light truck tire.

The 420s is fine on my rear setup, but has significant sidewall roll.
