hey guys...been a very long while since i posted here. my baby has been in the garage as always but recently became my DD :depress:.
Anyways, I just removed the muffler and replaced it with straight pipes. So now I my setup is Kooks long tubes, hi flow cats, hi flow x pipe, and mufflerless.
The sound is obnoxiously loud without a doubt... sounds mean though you can definitely tell its not a v4 fartcan. When i am on light throttle cruising or idling it sounds mean and louder than before but not obnoxiously loud...only when i want it to scream she screams.....it hurts your ear drums its like like a old muscle car with open headers.
I love loud muscle car sounds and this car is garaged and normally driven rarely... So overall i am impressed and satisfied

Why did you remove the mufflers? If you wanted louder sound should of gotten some Aeros. What's the size and the rest of your exhaust made of, stock, aluminized or mandrel bent ss?

Its gotta be loud as hell and your calling attention to yourself. Don't complain if you get ticketed.

I ran mufflerless on stock exhaust with side pipes and I could only take it for about 3 weeks before I changed back, luckily it didn't cost me anything so that's why I did it. lol

I know about the aero 2525's... they sound nice but i dont have $400 + labor to my disposal. my friend did it at the shop, there are no bends to the test pipe... just about a foot of straight piping was replaced for the muffler.

It is loud, and i expected it to be loud. Some people love loud on their marauders, some dont all a personal taste. Why are you implying i'll complain for getting ticketted? i got tints thats dark, should you let me know not to complain about that too if i get pulled over? Relax, i know this... you dont have to talk down on me like im some stupid clueless kid.

I hate it when loud, obnoxious cars & bikes drive by my house. People who overdo it with the loudness are the reason new muffler laws against motorcycles are being passed all over the place. OEM or replacement exhaust with a certification sticker (expensive) are the only options you can use in some places, all because of loud pipes.

i understand everyone is different and just as many people hate loud exhaust as there is as many people that love it. atleast half of all the cars at the dragstrip falls under this category...loud.im talking about the street legal cars 2. so many people love the sound of open downpipes which is much louder then my setup. and i make sure im quiet in residential neighborhoods...because i live in one
Nice, I bet it sounds awesome

He's a retired LEO, and I believe he was just giving you some advice.
BTW, LOUD = "Look at Me" so don't be surprised if you get lots of attention, good as well as not so good.

Ourdealsrock.net usually has them pretty cheap ($140 or less each) and should cost $50-100 to put them on maybe.

Not talking down to you at all. It seems many on here lately do an illegal mod to their car and then are all indignent when they get pinched for it. You know your area and must be comfortable that you'll be ok. I've heard MMs w/out mufflers before, they weren't too bad, but that one still had its cats on. Straight through with headers, ouch, thats gotta sound like a jake brake going by.
Be happy you are not in NYS. Any mod to the exhaust from OEM is illegal and the state is money hungry as all get out now. I can guarantee you'd get cited here.

MD is mostly laid back with American muscle unless someone is being a d-bag. Here most likely would just get a noise violation and maybe a equipment repair order if the cop looked under the car but doubt that would happen. Emissions does the mirror peak under the car though.

Thanks CBT it really does have a nice sound even though its really loud, I dont recall anyone ever running mufferless with long tubes, hi flow cats, and xpipe. I may be the first:banana2:

Thanks bro Thats a good deal on the parts Ill def look into that in the future if this freight train becomes unbearable for me. Honestly, if my marauder was my permanent daily driver the sound would be alittle too much for me. But I cant DD my baby, so its a joy every occasion i whip her out.

Thank you, i just felt that everyone was coming at me angry on my thread and i felt offended. I respect everyone on here and give my respects out to LEO's, the non-crooked ones that is ;). I'm currently studying criminal justice for my bachelors degree with hopes to become an officer in D.C. ,never Montgomery county (most adjacent county cops even hate montgomery county cops).

I dont think video clips of exhaust do any justice unless I have a very good video camera which i dont.:o Hopefully the CAM members will hear it soon

no mufflers...that reminds me of me back when i was like 18
usually no mufflers sounds pretty *****y tho...especially with the 400 yards of tubing MMs need to get out the back

have you heard of it on a marauder with long tube headers? I have never heard it and it was free to me and very worth it. I think it sounds way different than the factory bottlenose manifolds I heard with out the mufflers. my old srt4 doesnt even half mufflers from the factory but it is turbo'd...

If I'm not mistaken, check out Pantheroc's exhaust in Louisville, I believe that he has been mufflerless for years. Louder than mine, but not obnoxious. I enjoy riding behind him with the window down.

It depends how you get on it as to how loud it gets. The drone inside is annoying at some speeds, but you tune it out after a while like a nagging wife. The one thing I don't like about muffler-less on mine is, sounds raspy when cold, but when warmed up, sounds better.
Anyone remember what Zack had at EAM (Cruztaker's) that one year he was LOUD?
I've heard killjoy's with electric cutouts on the highway, scared the crap out of some people. :D
ckadiddle, HI!, good to see your lurking.
