Okay, is it my imagination, but could a possibly bad serpentine belt/idle pulley/tensioner cause worse gas mileage? It seems that after changing my belt, I am getting better gas mileage (And no, I dont do the wacky weed)!!!:P

It's your imagination. No way changing a belt could affect gas mileage for better or worse.

That's what I am thinking as well, I've been starting to get better gas mileage in my MM and Taurus.

True. A bad bearing can cause some engine drag. I don't think you'd feel a difference, but, it could register as far as better mpg.

For a tensioner bearing to have any noticable effect on MPG, that would have to be some hellacious drag and I would think the heat would burn it up real fast...

True. Maybe he hasn't been mashing the pedal as much. ;)
