Hi Ho Community;

93 Octane is about $3.84 at Chevron's around Shreveport/Bossier City, Louisiana area code 711XX.

I'm using the wife's GM for most of my transportation needs so I've only spent $79.00 for gas on the Marauder this month.

Any guesses as to when it will reach $4.00 per gallon, May or June?

Wonder what WOT feels like? It's been so long since I've experienced the rush.

Regards,

Pat,

I just filled up with Shell V-Power 93 on the way home from work on Friday night. I paid $2.339 per gallon. Gotta love those Giant Food points that knocked $1.60 off the per gallon price (Normal price was $3.939). Not sure how long that Shell-Giant can keep up this promotion ..... but I am enjoying it while it lasts. :D

4.03-4.29 is what I have been paying. Last week was good, only put ~250 miles on her instead of the average ~400.

O well ...

I figgered out how to stop this insanity since fuel prices are driven by supply and demand......novel principal, huh??;)

About half the nuts on the road today (including me) buy gasoline with a CREDIT CARD and when they run it to the max they simply get another one and keep going never intending to pay the balances off!!!:mad2::argue::shake:

NEW FEDERAL LAW......ALL FUEL PURCHASES MUST BE CASH!!!

Consumption falls.....prices fall.....less nuts on the road....problem fixed!!:D

BTW, Shell V-Power Premium here is $3.67......glad my Marauder still gets 17-18 MPG around town!!

My bet is you'll see gas start to peak in mid may right before Memorial day as it usually does, and it will stay high throughout the summer. The hope being that people will fly instead drive for summer vacations, but either way it's an effort to max out the money they can make during the traveling season. And then Miraculously, right around labor day they'll start to drop.

They're saying over $5.00 by then.

LOL, even on my daily driver I coast at 55 mph. When going uphill I gas it till I reach the base of the hill, let off the petro pedal, and let the momentum take me up and over :shake: what a shame!

I think gas is about as high as it will go. I don't think it will hit $5.00 per gallon. It will ruin the democrats chances of re-election so finally something will be done to keep it from getting there. Remember how some people screamed it was Bush the oil mans fault?:mad2:

Yeah, and he's been driving Paula's MM to events. Wait til she finds out that he has been cheaping her car out on 87 Octane so he has a little extra beer money on the road. :bop: Bet he uses 93 exclusively in HIS MM. ;)

I hope you're right, because it seems Chicago and other states tend to be more expensive than others. You know it's bad when Hawaii gas prices are cheaper, jeeezZz!

Illinois has the third highest fuel taxes in the nation, 54.5 cents per gallon (federal and state combined).

You guys are still looking at the prices? I just back up to the pump with my cigarette, blindfold on, hands on the ankles, and Sam's club size KY Jelly handy!

Seriously, I don't drive the MM very much anymore. Diane's GT convertible is faster and takes less gas, and regular to boot. I am getting very tired of the 11mpg AWD Hemi Durango. Good thing my commute is only 2 miles one way. It sure is putting a crimp in my summer vacation plans. I guess I'll have to go by myself on the bike!
